I thought Beamer would go with Shula because of NFL experience. But wouldn't be surprised with either.
Its hard to judge Elliot on that interim job, and hold the 1-5 against him, as the team was falling apart.
His work at Georgia State was middling.
And Elliott's involvement in the offense beyond just the run game coordinator and tight ends coach didn't come from me. It was discussed on the 107.5 morning show at length earlier in the season. Those guys usually have a little more insight than your normal message board poster.
Interesting. I remember radio personalities discussing something very similar under the previous OC. A certain, well respected poster lost her sh!t and cried about conspiracy theories and posted a bunch of lame memes.

Just because you were a head coach somewhere else doesn't mean you are a good OC. In my opinion OC are a different breed.
Agreed. The big question for the OC options will be if they run an offense that Beamer wants.
To me, that means "pro style".
Which is dumb considering Sellers limitations in the passing game.
We need an OC who can maximize what Sellers is great at.
Sellers knows how to run.
He's shown over and over again he can pull Hoondi acts when plays break down.
Both he and the staff are interested in further developing his passing game at this point to create a deadly dual-threat.
If we keep running him to death, he's going to get injured and he's not going to be a very viable NFL prospect.
Let's put a little faith in Beamer & Co. given the fact our offense was pretty high octane the 2nd half of the year.

Shawn Elliott's increased involved was discussed before the season even started. And he's already stated that he will be involved with the OL too, even though he's not the OL coach.

I don't always get things right. But, I did get right that I thought we would have a good and winning season when just about everyone including you doubted that. More importantly, I continue to be spot on in my investments being up this year 46.4% at the close of today's market compared to the market (S&P 500) being up 26.8%. Thus I'm beating the market by nearly 20 points, which would put me among the top 1-2% of traders in the world. You better hope I'm wrong about Bitcoin going down over the next 1-2 years.
I clearly said 6-6 would be a success. 8 wins would be a miracle. 5-7 of course would NOT be a success. Beamer greatly exceeded my expectations.
