Auburn's first 17 points have been easy points. Also we can’t get off a clean shot.

IMHO, hard to watch. Their 2 or 3 NBA ready players are a lot better. 12-25 now

Wow. We getting smoked. How in the heck did Auburn get this transfer from Charleston? He has almost as many points as our entire team.

All of Frank’s teams look alike. They don’t seem to understand the object of the game. Put the ball in the basket. Auburn gets it!

Thanks to some host shooting, switch up of D, and some home calls and we got a game!

Basically, either Stevenson is hot from 3 or we lose the game. Does that sum up our chances this season?

Eh, not really surprised we lost. Auburn is a true top 10 team and possibly a top 5 team and #1 team in our conference. A lot of careless turnovers on our part but I will hold my judgement on this team when they play more middle of the road SEC teams. Also why can't we catch a break with injuries.

Explain "bad matchup". I keep hearing our fans use that when discussing our team. Bad matchup, in my opinion, just means their guys are a hell of a lot better than ours.
Really quick guards. When we have one coming off injury and another one get injured in game, it’s kinda tough when you’re asking you’re 3rd, 4th and 5th guards to guard their 1,2 and 3 guards.

Especially true when said team is better than you to begin with. You can come back at the end of the season but I’m pretty sure that Auburn team you just saw will contend for an SEC title and maybe even a national title if it stays healthy.

If you want to bash Frank go ahead. Just don’t take a pot shot on why we didn’t beat a team we were ten point underdogs to and then our most experienced player gets hurt 3 minutes in.

Make your judgement when we play middle of the road SEC teams…cause that is the category we belong in…as usual!

Well my point being that if we're getting blown out by average teams then I can see the frustration but losing to this year's Auburn team is like losing to an Alabama in football, it was expected and playing the team's ranked 4-14 in the conference will give me a better idea of how competitive this team is in the conference.

My question is this: Frank has been here 10 years. Why are we not one of the top teams in the conference? At least be competitive with them. That's why we hired him.

Unless there is a resurgence as the season goes on Frank's tenure at SC is coming to an end. He's got about 8 weeks.

BUT WAIT... Auburn is really good!! RIDICULOUS LOSS!! USC should be just as good!! I am tired of all the EXCUSES< Frank has got to GO!! He has had planty of time, he is about sucked enough milk out of that ONE run!!

I don’t know why there can’t be an amicable parting of the ways. It happens a good bit in sports. Quite often programs move on from coaches who haven’t done a terrible job but just seem to have peaked at mediocrity. It’s been a decade with Frank. Nothing is going to miraculously get better. It doesn’t have to be a bitter separation. Extend him a genuine and heartfelt thanks for his contributions to the program. After a decade it’s just time to try something new.

Auburn is a really good team. I expect Frank to have a few good conference wins, fall apart down the stretch, blame the fans, and then expect a contract extension.

I don’t disagree that we shouldn’t have more depth and stability at this point. I don’t disagree that we should be in the tournament more.

I do disagree that we go down our top two performers and somehow we should beat a top 10 team because it’s year 10.
I mean do we really think Jason Brown would have beaten a team like Baylor or Oklahoma State at home. I just think it’s ironic we have two different sets of standards within our programs.

We never had a chance against Auburn - even at home. We are in the bottom third of the SEC. Again.

Here's the way I look at it - and I am a fan of Frank Martin. He's a great person. However, he has had success only 3 of 10 seasons. One game over .500 doesn't count. If Frank cannot coach this team up this season then he should be gone. No more excuses.

Let's use Auburn as an example. They were a crap men's basketball program program before Pearle. Yes, Cliff Ellis had some success but look at their entire history. It is on about the same level as ours. We might be a little better because of McGuire. Auburn made the right hire and in very short order they were winning games.

It is time for us to make a change and I think it will happen this year unless we have a big turnaround.

I don’t disagree with a lot of this. Martin certainly is running out of time. As big a fan of the coach as I am, even I concede it’s a dance or walk season.

Auburn did sell its soul for Pearl. He’s kind of like Calipari. The snake oil salesman. He’s going to break some rules but he will make you a winner. They may or may not pay the price on the back end of his tenure. It remains to be seen.
