At this point, one would think Muschamp owes a little more than his excuses today.

Based on last week's performance, it was self-evident that the offense was going to have to carry this game....And they were doing just that, playing lights out and dominating that game for the better part of three quarters. Yes, there were some miscues at the end of the game once they were in a ditch in the final minutes on the road.

I think we would all feel much better if he simply said something to the effect of:

"This one is on me....We were rolling offensively and we decided to take the foot off the gas of the up-tempo because time was on our side and we didn't want a careless turnover. That turned out to be a bad decision. As a coaching staff, we will learn from this moving forward."

Doubt that happens but it's time for him to stop mincing words. He's getting paid plenty to answer the tough questions - not ramble about X's and O's.

We've beaten Ole Miss, Tenn & Missou by the skin of our teeth in the final seconds and we had a good win at Vandy. All good wins versus very average teams. That's it. And probably all there will be. This season is a total bust versus expectations.

Might be time for you to "Man Up" Coach.
