"Nobody wants to play in Under Armours, I'm sorry. The top kids don’t because they all play Nike. Everybody knows that. They just don’t want to say nothing."

"Shoe companies have a real, real big influence on where these kids go," Durant added.

Well, that's not good.

Very true. Add in the corrupt AAU coaches and schools like us not wearing Nike have very little chance.

Durant is right. UA gear sucks big time. The shoes are butt ugly and they are poorly made compared to Nikes and Adidas.

UA football uniforms look like Klown Kostumes.

Just wait until UA ruins MLB uniforms next season. What a shame because Majestic does an outstanding job with baseball.

UA was a Spurrier deal. They used to pay him more than Pastides. Now we know the real reason Spurrier quit - his feet hurt.

I honestly do not want anyone that cares that much about what shoes they will wear. If someone is that prissy then I have no desire to watch them play or pull for them.

You would hope that a kid that is basing his choice on which college he should attend which will effect his whole future would be more discriminate than to base his decision on a pair of shoes.

You can't forget that we're dealing with 16-18 year old's who think they're going to make a living playing pro sports. Unfortunately I'd guess uniform/shoe sponsor plays a bigger role than it should

You need to remember your history, we wanted to do a deal with Nike but they refused. They had just signed tillman tech and felt the state was well served by their product. They did the same thing to Auburn, UA has given us big bucks and stroked us a 10 million dollar bonus check when both teams made the final 4. Yes their shoes use to stink but they stole a large number shoe engineers and designers from Nike. FM&DS ARE happy with the shoes and support. Sadly they are behind in the AAU recruitment. Lastly what the hell did you expect Durant to say? Nike pays him and yet Curry's shoes outsell his

Yes, UA shoes suck. But here's the thing - Nike shoes are uncomfortable and suck, too. I absolutely will not play basketball or run in Nike shoes. They're cheaply made, expensive and crappy. Adidas is is the best.

Well, you must really hate Connor Shaw, because as a junior here, he publicly tweeted that UA football shoes were like boards. I'm sure he was reprimanded very swiftly by SOS and the AD, because his tweet mysteriously vanished the following day.

Connor Shaw must not have cared too much then. I have a preference for shoes too...everyone does. There is a big difference between stating your opinion on something and making a deciding factor for something that really does not matter. There is no major difference and you can play a good game in shoes someone picks up at Wal 'Mart. Most of the desire for this shoe or that one..is just preference and a desire to wear the same shoe as someone else you like. It is mostly a childish desire to be like Mike. No games are won or lost because of it...no points scored...it is just a fashion thing.

No..much closer to home and around back. I always preferred Adidas...just liked the three stripes over a swoosh. That was genuinely the only reason.

Antifa Warrior? Seriously?

He might be right but that is because those kids have bought into the silly advertising.

I love UA stuff. My son wears UA shoes right now and loves them. But he loves other brands too including basically no names ( if they are decent shoes).

I would respect Durant more if he had come out and said "caring what shoes a team wears is stupid"

That would actually be true.

Art Baker told a story about a football player who signed with FSU just because he thought the arrows on the sides of their helmets were cool.
