Always will be. Tonight was an awesome win...against #2...on the road.
Just happy for the boys. Been a rough season for them and the staff.
Changes definitely have to be made but I know it makes this group of players feel better knowing they're not as bad as people claim. To me that's the worst part of reading the fan post on these boards...the players read it too.

I will always be happy with a win...but a win now does not erase a bad season. I take a "this game was good or bad....but" approach. One win or one loss is not going to matter until the tournaments start. You still have to play yourself in and have the talent to make a run. We are on the edge on both of those despite this win. I still enjoyed it though.
How many of y'all sat there in shock when Mooney hit that 3 run homer? I know I did. By the way, The State made sure to say that it was wind aided.

This team responded the way proud powerhouse programs respond when they are going through a difficult season. Yes USC and it's fans are used to much more success but sometimes you have to bite the bullet and look for positives when things are tough. It would be easy for the team to pack it in and say it's just not our year but they are still playing hard and they understand that name across the front of their jersey means something. Very proud of the guys.
I see you're still a gracious, pleasant winner. If the players read this board, as you claim, stop bitching after a win.

I think until we have a winning record against scrub schools in the state, you probably shouldn't chest thump after every win. Just saying.

I've been on this forum 17 years and I can't remember a single win in the midst of a tough season in any sport when we didn't have AT LEAST one thread started by some self-righteous SP trying to start a fight, and usually a lot more than one. It happens literally every time.
Well I've been around this board for 15 years or so and I know you're being disingenuous. The traffic on this board triples after a loss with people criticizing everything from the coaches, to the players, the AD, the university, the facilities, other fans and even the city of Cola. And calling for a coaches head when things go south has risen every year because that's all most low brow knuckle-draggers and know-it-alls know to do rather than dealing with reality.

You might have gotten a "swipe in", except that there is no forum rule against criticizing coaches, players, the AD, et. al as long as you do it within the guidelines. There is a big, fat, blinking, steaming rule against starting threads for the sole purpose of calling out other forum members for a flame war, which is all this thread is. unfortunately it's also by far the most unevenly enforced rule on this website, and it always has been, which I guess is why SPs keep thinking they don't have to obey it, but everyone else does.

You know, just like you gripers like to say how SP don't know reality. I've been on this board a long time too and just like someone said ealier, your type come out of the woodwork when we have a poor season.
I've NEVER said we aren't having a poor season. It's just that ALL teams in this country, no matter the sport, at one time or the other, has had bad seasons. Some of you act like we should never, EVER have one. If we do, it's because of such the terrible coach that we have. Just really a joke!!
