OT: 8.5% CPI

Why is Jen Psaki calling it the "Putin Price Hike" over and over? For starters, she stated that they expected inflation around 2.2% in 2022 in a July 2021 presser. Talk about delusional....or just people who seem to enjoying lying at any cost. She's definitely grooming well for her future MSNBC gig.

----------------------------------
MS. PSAKI: Absolutely. We take inflation very seriously. It is under the purview of the Federal Reserve. As you know, they have regular quarterly meeting where they put out that information and any considerations publicly.

Their projection continues to be that, while there’s an — a projected increase in inflation this year, it’s expected to come back down to about 2.2 next year. They have not changed that, and that is aligned with a number of outside economists as well.

You’re also correct that when the economy is turning back on from a global pandemic, there isn’t a lot of historic precedent for that.

And certainly, we’re seeing prices go back to pre-pandemic levels in some cases. We’re also seeing a range of factors, including shortages in the supply chain — from chips shortages that are impacting the auto industry, to lumber shortages that are impacting the housing industry — that are also factors here as we’re seeing price increases.

But we do look at all of that. We take it incredibly seriously. And we respect the role of the Federal Reserve as well.

Wonder how many "Laureates" confirmed his numbers?

Excuses won’t matter, a tsunami is coming soon and it might be the ugliest for one party that we have ever seen. You do realize Gramps right now is lower in approval than Bush was in midst of financial crisis and Trump immediately following Jan 6. People are fed up and your party will feel the wrath soon. A likely recession and a serious slowdown in housing is only going to become more likely as we approach the fall election season.

you are losing key foundational pieces of your voting block (Latinos) at alarming rates that may affect future R and D races for years to come.
And there is no "Easy" Button as a fix either. Recovery will be painful to many regardless of who is the 2024 president.

Donald Trump wasn’t afraid to to look you directly in the eye and tell you what the problem is. Most politicians would never do so.

LOL

Trump would sit there and say one thing- walk out of the meeting and change his mind and then blindside his own advisors and Vice President by saying something totally different after talking to Sean Hannity on the phone.

What an incompetent POS.

Heard a report today in the financial news about the inflation that has been hitting Japan.

This is not just a USA problem and of course hasn't been.

He is terrific, and better yet- he's not a a scumbag POS like Trump.

LOL. You are delusional. Joetato is the biggest scumbag, swamp creature in Washington. You don't make it in Washington for FIFTY years by being a decent human being.

He's terrific and I couldn't be more proud of him and his work.

you don't "make it" in New York real estate (and file bankruptcy a lot) for fifty years unless you are a POS scumbag.

That's a lie. Barbara Corcoran proves that. And plenty of people have filed for bankruptcy for many reason.

But I'm glad you agree with George Wallace. He thought Biden was a swell guy too.

Pfizer being forced to release documents this year instead of waiting 75 years lead to the end of masks and mandates.

This move has not been friendly to Netflix and their biggest shareholder.....wait for it......Vanguard - the same find folks who also have major interests in vaccine companies. The circle of life.

Don't believe it is. Stress kills and POTUS has to be one of the most stressful jobs around. It's super sad his handlers have allowed this to happen. He should be enjoying the remainder of his life with his family.
It was real. I just saw it on tv. Really, it's like having a drunk man as POTUS. In his prime, he was stupid, but now this affliction, too. Unfortunately, tens of millions of Americans are human dem garbage, so here we are.

Honestly wouldn't surprise at this point. The idea that was there a 30+ year ongoing technology that was just on the brink of being ready exactly when the pandemic hit is a leap of faith to begin with. Then when you consider that we were likely doing GOF research in, of all places, China and that there's some shadowy figure (Daszak) with a shadowy company (EcoHeath) who orchestrates the entire project, well...

The executive order portion is telling too. What was the immediate emergency? How much did Trump know about what he was signing? Were they telling him the upcoming flu was going to be worse than 2017 or was it something more?

If the Pfizer Whistleblower turns out to be true, this very well could blow the roof off of everything.

Trump won't run again. He fears losing a 2nd time. And I really don't believe Republicans would nominate him if he does anyway. And I have never felt Biden would run again. Biden got accomplished what I wanted: getting rid of Trump. If I had to wager, I'd bet on a Cotton vs Mitch Landrieu race, with Cotton winning. Personally, I'd prefer Ben Sasse, Marco Rubio, John Kasich or Mitt Romney for the GOP. I think any of those 4 would do great. I don't find anyone on the Democratic side appealing. I'm a swing voter. Most of you don't like it if someone is not 100% critical of Democrats or 100% praising of Republicans. But, facts don't allow me to do that. I have rarely voted straight one-party.
I don’t buy this at all. If trump chooses to run again he will walk away with the nomination and it would be close. He still holds a large part of the Republican Party.

Right Now Trump is the Leader of the Republican party, if he runs, he will win the Republican nomination, hands down, I hope he doesnt run, because i know many conservatives, that Hate him worse than they hate how bad this country has fallen too, under the Liberal/Socialist/Demonrats Harris and Pedo Joe...

It is of interest to me how many people would choose the garbage we have now rather than a much better situation but with a president they don't like.

Trump was a garbage POS (and that's as kind as I can say it).
Trump wasn't a better situation. He was a failure in many ways.

In general, those people are nothing but garbage themselves.

Maybe I should clarify. I agree, the people that prefer this mess are in the garbage zone themselves.

What gets me is the ones who don't like the mess the country is in, but will stay home, or cast a third party vote, just to spite Trump.
