--Said it was a great night, proud of his team and the effort, energy and physicality they played with and come back from 14-0 down to outscore them 21-3 to end the game. Said it was a fantastic night with a lot of great individual performances. Mentions after Auburn converted the long fourth down, Jaylan Foster made a great open field tackle to keep the running back out of the end zone.

Injuries: Cam Smith is "questionable" to play in the Clemson game. Has a banged up knee. Possible he can play but it's about how his knee responds during treatment. Xavier Legette is fine after last night. Got banged up on a hit near the sideline but they expect him to be fine for this Saturday.

Offensive Player of the Game: ZaQuandre White
Defensive Player of the Game: Johnson, Darius Rush
Special teams Player of the Game: Kai Kroeger, Josh Vann, Darius Rush
Offensive Scout Player of the Week: Rashad Amos, Sam Reynolds
Defensive Scout Tyreek Johnson
ST scout: King Ford

--Asked about ZaQuandre White, has a knack for making people miss and White would even tell you he missed a few other big ones as well if he made the right cut. He's gaining more and more confidence and make sure he's still cleaning things up to be a "total, total running back."

--Thought Jason Brown did a good job improving after the Missouri game. Mentioned he was stepping up in the pocket more. Mentions he could have done that against Missouri and have a few more throws. Said he had a few nice throws against Auburn and looked more poised. Said he still needs to improve but feels good about his progression.

--Doesn't want to grade where they are as a program right now with two weeks to go. Said they just want to maximize the talent and thinks this team has played with the effort they've wanted to. Knew they had a chance to be a good team because of a good line of scrimmage and had enough pieces in all three phases to be competitive.

--Know the home field advantage "has been a difference for us." The feed off the energy of the fans and the team would be "extremely—and you can put that in all caps—if it wasn't packed rocking" against Clemson. Said this weekend's rivalry is as good as it gets and they're back at it in their home stadium and "it does make a difference." Said fans made a statement.

--Asked about veteran defensive players and getting to do more with aggression, said they want to be simple enough to have guys know what they're doing and complex enough to confuse an offense. They have some smart guys out there playing in White's defense and they know how to time up a blitz and when to bring pressure. It does help having a lot of older guys.

--Greg Adkins was back in the building today and going through team meetings.

--Said getting to a bowl game just shows South Carolina is just getting started and it's a good place to recruit to. When you have early success in the process it helps to put South Carolina on some of these seniors/juniors/sophomores' radars.

--Doesn't think recruits are going to make a decision on a school and commitment just based on one game but winning a rivalry game "certainly gives you energy" and momentum when he's able to go recruiting immediately after the game. Not something they sell in terms of beating Clemson but they'd be proud of it if they can win it.

--Said it's humbling to be included in early thoughts about being a candidate for SEC Coach of the Year. Said it's more of a testament to the staff he has in the building. Would certainly be a big boost to the program.

--Still working through on which players will go through Senior Day ceremonies Saturday. Said there could be a group of guys who walk and come back and guys who didn't walk and leave.

--Wanted to clarify his comments after the game about him running the same two games. Mentions he didn't mean it as a disrespect to Auburn and Bryan Harsin but they were running the exact same two run plays and the pass concepts they ran were the exact same. Didn't want it to come across as a shot to Auburn. They wanted to line up and run the football and see if Auburn could stop them. Was a good confidence-booster to the offense.

--Mentions in the coaching profession the pressure to win and win now is greater than it has ever been. Mentions his dad would have definitely been fired earlier in his career before things got rolling. Mentions as a head coach it's scary at times to go to a SEC championship game and get fired a year later, citing Dan Mullen.

--Jokes he should have kicked more field goals last night if he knew White was that close to breaking the school points record (he's four away). Mentions it would be fitting to break it and mentions they got to score more points to get him that record for sure.

--Just starting prep for Clemson. Players just left the building so now the coaches will start breaking down Clemson film. They've watched them a couple times this season and Beamer watched a little of the Wake game yesterday in the hotel. Mentions he has a lot of respect for how Swinney's handled so many injuries and they're still a team with that record. It's a team that's gotten better as the year's gone on. Said they're immensely talented and playing their best ball right now.

--Mentions it's nice to see guys like Brad Johnson and Damani Staley have their best years this season. Mentions he's really proud of both of those guys and they've had great seasons personally and it's been "very impactful for our entire team."

--This group of seniors have been really good and he had them stand up and make sure the younger guys got a good look at the group and to point out college football goes by quick and how they've handled a really tough road over their college careers. He's really happy for them because they finish off their careers with a bowl win.
