All those who questioned the hire, this staff rolls out the red carpet! There’s a different feel around here!
How is it an uptick over Muschamp? We are going to need quite the finish to match any of the classes we had under Muschamp.big uptick over the broad breasted lazy pregnant slob he replaced
if the former coach in waiting @Austin is a football coach, we're all brain surgeons
go cocks!
So if Muschamp had such great recruiting classes why did we only win 6 games in 2 years? How is it an uptick over Muschamp? We are going to need quite the finish to match any of the classes we had under Muschamp.
The more Muschamp recruited after his own “success” the worse it got.How is it an uptick over Muschamp? We are going to need quite the finish to match any of the classes we had under Muschamp.
What's it like to see the future? How is it an uptick over Muschamp? We are going to need quite the finish to match any of the classes we had under Muschamp.
is this a serious question? How is it an uptick over Muschamp? We are going to need quite the finish to match any of the classes we had under Muschamp.
Disturbingly true. The more Muschamp recruited after his own “success” the worse it got.
We always get a lot of 3 stars. Now let's see what the new coaches can do with themWe are loading up on 3 star recruits that's for sure.
That we do, just makes the climb out of the cellar harder as we have witnessed first hand.We always get a lot of 3 stars. Now let's see what the new coaches can do with them
He wasn’t very good at coaching that talent. So if Muschamp had such great recruiting classes why did we only win 6 games in 2 years?
Do you base everything on an arbitrary star rating in a COVID-19 year? Makes more sense to see them at camp, meeting them and trying them out, in other words doing your job and evaluating their talent. Would you buy a car based on reviews only or would you like to drive it and evaluate it yourself. I trust the Coach who actually does his job. The previous coach had a good STAR RATING when hired but no coaching talent, we all know how that worked out.We are loading up on 3 star recruits that's for sure.
The problem being you have no history of how well Beamer judges talent.Do you base everything on an arbitrary star rating in a COVID-19 year? “The 2009 recruiting class, which featured Alshon Jeffery, Stephon Gilmore and Devonte Holloman, among others, laid the groundwork for South Carolina’s run of an SEC East title and three straight 11-win seasons. In the 2010 class, Marcus Lattimore headlined. In the 2011 cycle, Beamer’s last as recruiting coordinator, USC inked the No. 1 player in the country- Jadeveon Clowney- for the first time in school history. The problem being you have no history of how well Beamer judges talent.
So the question becomes which is more likely? Beamer has a better eye for talent than many established coaches or the players are of three star quality?

Interesting how you guys keep moving the goalposts. Which one of those guys was a camp evaluation? I seem to recall Alshon, Gilmore, Holloman, Clowney and Lattimore all being highly rated recruits with "arbitrary star ratings."“The 2009 recruiting class, which featured Alshon Jeffery, Stephon Gilmore and Devonte Holloman, among others, laid the groundwork for South Carolina’s run of an SEC East title and three straight 11-win seasons. Beamer, who arrived prior to the 2007 season and was named recruiting coordinator after 2008, also was instrumental in the hiring of several assistant coaches and served as a sounding board for Spurrier when many of those hires were made.”
And what did Mustchamp do with all that talent he recruited? I'll take a kid with heart over one with an attitude any day.How is it an uptick over Muschamp? We are going to need quite the finish to match any of the classes we had under Muschamp.
This is what people say, but this board absolutely obliterated Collin Hill all year long. If these kids don't perform, you guys will crap all over them and blame them like its their fault the coaches weren't good enough. And what did Mustchamp do with all that talent he recruited? He had 24 receivers on roster and 1 that could catch the ball. Wasn't for or against Hill. Circle back to Mustchamp got talent, couldn't coach. This is what people say, but this board absolutely obliterated Collin Hill all year long. I mean you can just search the forum with your username and see posts where you mocked Hill.He had 24 receivers on roster and 1 that could catch the ball. Wasn't for or against Hill. Circle back to Mustchamp got talent, couldn't coach.
Seems his past history at USC would be a consideration. The problem being you have no history of how well Beamer judges talent.
each of those teams had less 4*s than clemson bama, uga, uf etc. i’d say he’s pretty good at what he does.Interesting how you guys keep moving the goalposts. You mean you hope he’s good at what he does.each of those teams had less 4*s than clemson bama, uga, uf etc. i’d say he’s pretty good at what he does.
2009-2011You mean you hope he’s good at what he does.
Do you honestly not understand the problem with giving all the credit to an assistant coach?2009-2011
5*. 4*. 3*.
bama
8 43. 24.
clemson
4 22. 32
gamecocks
2 25. 47.
uga
3 35. 24.
uf
7 37. 18
And that's why all the teams who are winning conference titles and in the playoffs are doing it with 3 star recruits coached up, I get it now.And what did Mustchamp do with all that talent he recruited? I'll take a kid with heart over one with an attitude any day.
you were implying we don’t know if he can evaluate talent, the numbers and the records for those years tell you, yeah, he may know a little something about it. nothing wrong with some 3*s. we’ll be getting some 4 in the next few weeks. hold your breath for a minute.Do you honestly not understand the problem with giving all the credit to an assistant coach?
Obviously seeing as how there was very little player developmentHe wasn’t very good at coaching that talent.
He “may” is the point you’re ignoring. You’re giving him credit for an entire staff. How much of that was Spurrier and the coordinators? And how much of that was the special teams coach?you were implying we don’t know if he can evaluate talent, the numbers and the records for those years tell you, yeah, he may know a little something about it. nothing wrong with some 3*s. we’ll be getting some 4 in the next few weeks. hold your breath for a minute.
1- we do have a very good idea of how well he judges talent. He recruited the core talent for our best teams in his previous tenure here serving as recruiting coordinator. The problem being you have no history of how well Beamer judges talent.
So the question becomes which is more likely? Beamer has a better eye for talent than many established coaches or the players are of three star quality?
Oh we have figured it out and it's also why those teams aren't competing for championships, whether it be conference or CFP, just saying.Once you get out of top 15 recruiting classes the majority of players signed by each team are 3 stars.
I am not sure why people have not figured this out
who said anything about playing for championships in the next 3-5 years? a rebuild is a process. i’m not worried like some of you guys about talent evals. i trust he knows what’s going on in that department. what noone wants to discuss is how the coaches are and will be performing come kickoff. that’s the biggest of all unknowns.Oh we have figured it out and it's also why those teams aren't competing for championships, whether it be conference or CFP, just saying.
