This is not happening. OU and Texas to SEC does look imminent thoughHearing PSU to ACC now
Looks like the NFL. Wonder if we'll have our own intra-conference playoff? Seems inevitable if teams finished tied.I hate this. It’s 2 conferences now…call it what it is. Hearing there will now be 4 - 4 team divisions.
I can’t imagine a multi-game playoff with the CFP expanding. That is unless we go to 9 conference games and a 10 game schedule. Which could be coming.Looks like the NFL. Wonder if we'll have our own intra-conference playoff? Seems inevitable if teams finished tied.
Sewanee students say, “Why would we join a conference that can’t hold its liquor?”Hearing Sewanee back to the SEC.
Bama is about to make UT their B****. Just like the rest of us.As long at UTex plays Bama every year.
I am hearing Wake Forest and Wyoming moving to the CFL.Hearing Sewanee back to the SEC.
I think the next school to join the ACC would be West Virginia. This is not happening. OU and Texas to SEC does look imminent though
How will they determine who will play in the SEC championship game with that purposed conference format?I hate this. It’s 2 conferences now…call it what it is. Hearing there will now be 4 - 4 team divisions. I’m guessing that’ll look like:
- Texas
- Oklahoma
- Texas A&M
- Arkansas
- Florida
- Georgia
- South Carolina
- Kentucky
- LSU
- Mississippi State
- Ole Miss
- Missouri
- Alabama
- Auburn
- Tennessee
- Vanderbilt
I've heard they're looking that direction too, and it's laughable considering how they used to poke their nose up about "academic prestige"I think the next school to join the ACC would be West Virginia.
Yeah, I think If Texas and Oklahoma joins the SEC, they will officially start competing in the SEC when the SEC and CBS television deal expires and the new SEC and ESPN channels and ABC contract starts. I think it will be 2024.I don't think it's a coincidence that they are planning on going to a 12 team playoff and Texas and Oklahoma bolting the Big 12. Look for both to happen within 2 years
You hate it, as well you should. The contemptible trash that are doing this care nothing for the things that helped make college football the best sport in history. Tradition and sense mean nothing to them. Only money. The bad part is, I'm sure our fool University will go happily along, like an obedient dog.I hate this. It’s 2 conferences now…call it what it is. Really only thing our university can do. Have a feeling if university’s try to fight this they will be on the outside looking in unless you were an original memberYou hate it, as well you should. It only takes four schools to say no, and I can't fathom why the Mississippi schools, Vandy, and Kentucky would want this.Really only thing our university can do. Have a feeling if university’s try to fight this they will be on the outside looking in unless you were an original member
I think most fans in the SEC said the same thing when we came into the league along with Ark.You hate it, as well you should. I don't think so, but the one's that did may have been correct.I think most fans in the SEC said the same thing when we came into the league along with Ark.
You'd be surprised what schools will do for extra money to maintain their Universities in other areas. And lets face it...Vandy, Kentucky, and the Mississippi schools aren't winning the SEC even under the current situation...so you mine as well get paid more.It only takes four schools to say no, and I can't fathom why the Mississippi schools, Vandy, and Kentucky would want this.
Both Texas and Oklahoma are widely considered apart of the SouthI guess we'll be called The Big 16 because their a$$es aren't located in the south or southeast.
Texas did use to a member of Southwest Conference. Both Texas and Oklahoma are widely considered apart of the South
I think the next school to join the ACC would be West Virginia.
You know Texas was a slave state right. (I reckon Oklahoma would have been too, but they didn't become a state til 1907)I guess we'll be called The Big 16 because their a$$es aren't located in the south or southeast.
Those two do have the resources to get back to a nine to 12 game wins a season. We just need Miami and FSU to get their crap together and start being competitive again.
Widely part of south yes, but NOT SoutheastBoth Texas and Oklahoma are widely considered apart of the South
South? Yes. Southeast? Not so much. Both Texas and Oklahoma are widely considered apart of the South
But you clearly said South, I'm not arguing the Southeast part but definitely a part of the South.Widely part of south yes, but NOT Southeast
I guess we'll be called The Big 16 because their a$$es aren't located in the south or southeast.
Now that there is funny as heck I don't care who you are!I am hearing Wake Forest and Wyoming moving to the CFL.
