Player of the yearIf a squib kick is worth SEC POTW, what is an extra point worth?
Vandy finally got her in position?
Here comes a bunch of people to bash women!
As the father of a daughter, I don't like it. She was given the job. She didn't earn the job, and that’s not a good message for anyone. As the father of two daughters.....I agree.
There’s a long history of football coaches choosing soccer players with big legs to kick for them When needed. Were you concerned about those previous soccer players not earning the job? Or is this a new outrage for you?As the father of a daughter, I don't like it. She was given the job. She didn't earn the job, and that’s not a good message for anyone.

I'd be all for it if she was actually the best kicker they had available, but she's clearly not. Why else would they bring a guy on to kick a 39-yard field goal instead of letting her take a shot?
“long yardage kicker” doesn’t equal 35 yardsAre you similarly mad about male short yardage kickers when the long yardage kicker is brought on to kick longer FGs?
Good grief. It’s a meaningless game at the end of a pandemic year. What was Vanderbilt supposed to do. Kick the girl off the team once they got all their male kickers back, She was willing to help in a tough spot and she was rewarded for that. One group does not lose just because another group gets a little something.I'd be all for it if she was actually the best kicker they had available, but she's clearly not. Actually I don’t know it but I do know it really causes unnecessary consternation for some men.All I'm saying is it is a stunt. I know it, you know it and anyone who has two brain cells in their head knows it.
Fire off some names from that long history off the top of your head please? She cannot kick anything close to a CFB kicker. There's a difference in anyone that you name (if you can find anyone on Google) and her. She's slow and she doesn't have a decent range. Vandy players were pissed because they weren't given a chance and they knew it was a bush league publicity stunt. There’s a long history of football coaches choosing soccer players with big legs to kick for them When needed. Ridiculous question. Are you similarly mad about male short yardage kickers when the long yardage kicker is brought on to kick longer FGs?
Some folks just see this as a little pat on the head of women. I’d respect it if this weren’t a publicity stunt.Actually I don’t know it but I do know it really causes unnecessary consternation for some men.

Use Google yourself if you would like more but off the top of my head I remember Danny Ford did this. Some guy from Africa on their soccer team.Fire off some names from that long history off the top of your head please? She cannot kick anything close to a CFB kicker. Are you going to be okay if she gets knocked on her butt and gets hurt on a kickoff?
I'm not outraged. I see it for what it is... and for what it is not.
As a father of a daughter, I'm also against guys competing in girls sports just because they don't see themselves as males anymore. They have a competitive advantage.
So, would it be any less of a stunt if some walk-on Wide Receiver tried to kick because all the kickers had Covid? Some people just don’t want others to have anything and it is sad.Fire off some names from that long history off the top of your head please? She cannot kick anything close to a CFB kicker. Did this African kicker win any awards for a squib kick?Use Google yourself if you would like more but off the top of my head I remember Danny Ford did this. Some guy from Africa on their soccer team.
Maybe some of us see through the clear pandering. They brought a dude in to kick a routine 35 yarder. So, would it be any less of a stunt if some walk-on Wide Receiver tried to kick because all the kickers had Covid? Some people just don’t want others to have anything and it is sad.
Doubt it, but if you read through the thread I have expressed no opinion on her specialist of the week award.Did this African kicker win any awards for a squib kick?
So, you’re that guy that wouldn’t let the blind kid at Southern Cal get a carry because they had other runners that were better. Get real. I think Sarah Fuller would tell you that she has a long way to go to be a bonafide kicker. However, it’s a step and why not when you are 0-9 with absolutely nothing to play for.Don't need to kick her off the team. She should be benched if there's a better player available at her position, though.
Well that doesn't sound like such a long history does it? You made my point. I'm also betting that the guy could actually kick fgs and kickoffs. Vandy had players wanting to try but they were told it wasn't open for a tryout.Use Google yourself if you would like more but off the top of my head I remember Danny Ford did this. That's the point, other players wanted to try but were told they couldn't even try.So, would it be any less of a stunt if some walk-on Wide Receiver tried to kick because all the kickers had Covid? Some people just don’t want others to have anything and it is sad.

I do....simply because my oldest who I taught to throw a baseball and took to the batting cages from the time she was 5 could hit and throw better than most of the boys in her age group, yet wasn't allowed to play because she was a girl. She ended playing lacrosse, getting a scholarship, and graduating from Davidson. But having to sit and tell her why she couldn't play baseball at 9-years old when she knew she was better was tough. I am happy when any stupid glass ceiling gets crashed. As the father of a daughter, I don't like it. She was given the job. She didn't earn the job, and that’s not a good message for anyone.
Because you have other players who have busted their butts all year (some longer) that wanted the opportunity to at least try out for the job and were told no.So, you’re that guy that wouldn’t let the blind kid at Southern Cal get a carry because they had other runners that were better. Just stopSo Vandy has another kicker who nailed a 35 yarder? All this was a publicity stunt?
