SCSU game thread...

And what point does sugarcoating bad football do, make you feel better? It sure as hell doesn’t improve the team. I know we are talent deficient but it’s the lack of improvement across the board that is ridiculous.
Lol. U good ? Keep on keeping on. It’s what y’all do. As long as ur good. House tater unite.

We have really only 1 playmaker at the WR position. The rest of the group is really below average. There is almost no ability to make people miss and take it all the way.

Seems like almost every team has a few guys that can do that at the WR position. We have 1- I think.

These have to be the ugliest helmets we have ever worn.

First off, happy for the win. We went out and did what we had to to win it. Defense concerns me somewhat. There are times we got pushed off the ball by Charlotte and State. That shouldn't happen to the Point where State matched us in rushing yards. The offense.... Well.... The line is most of the issue. If we can't run the ball then the defenses are going to drop that extra guy to clog up the passing lanes which leads to what we have seen. Int's. Rattler can put the ball on a dime but tends to play gunslinger too often for the teams good when the defense is dropping extra guys back into coverage. We can improve and win a couple more but we are deficient in some areas and getting in players is the only thing that will help.

The helmets... I hope they bury those in a bottomless hole only to be seen again in a historic display of helmets through the years. They looked like exactly what they were, 1960's helmets. In today's world they made us look bad on tv. I am sure they looked good in 1966 but not today.

Enjoyed the win but there's a decent chance that was the last one. You can just see and feel when a team doesn't remotely have it together and this team fits that narrative. Hopefully they can can win a few more but Rattler just doesn't look like a qb that can do it. I thought 3-2 was a realistic record at the beginning of the year but this isn't a good 3-2.

I think we can beat Vandy and have a decent shot at Mizzou. Didn't expect to beat the Gators last year so you never know what might end up happening. I expected a step back this year from year one due to difficulty of schedule. Hoped that Rattler could make the difference we missed last year at QB. Still might. Alot of football left to be played BUT all of that is moot if our lines don't improve. Defense is almost there but the o line needs some big leaps to get us to bowl eligibility. Make a bowl and I trust our coaches to get some more players in here to shore up our weak areas. Other than one particular coach I am still not sold on I think we have a good staff in place if we get the players we need.

I will rationalize that those are our FCS helmets.

Rome wasn't built in a day. We were left in bad shape in several areas and we need to get some young men in to fill those. This helmets however Need to go back to 1966. For any of you who remember those helmets fondly, my apologies. My first real memories are of the "Big George" helmets so I identify with the helmets after that.
