I think we are 2 1/2 games in front of UGA and UT with 4 games to play (including today). Did I do the math right? Is 2 wins the magic number?

Depends on how those guys are doing today, could be less.I think we are 2 1/2 games in front of UGA and UT with 4 games to play (including today). Did I do the math right? Is 2 wins the magic number?
3.5 lead on UT (eliminated). 2.5 game lead on UGA. We would have to get swept and UGA sweep Arkansas for us to not get in.

Good stat for this weekend though.Your link shows we are 23-9 at home, but 6-12 away.....what a huge disparity.
Good call. I didn't realize MSU was so awful this year. The seeding for the sec tournament are regardless of division. Today's win secures a spot in the sec bracket. 3 1/2 game lead over Tennessee and 4 game lead over Mississippi state, neither one of these teams can pass. Hoover bound.
Miss St is 8-19 and Tennessee is 8-18 after the rainout. The best both can do is 11 wins, so we are in. Georgia is 9-17 because of a rainout earlier in the year, so they would have to sweep Arkansas to pass us in seeding for the tournament. Alabama has 11 wins and could pass us if they can beat Vandy. Right now we would be the 10 seed I believe and play the 7 seed in the opening game. At the moment I believe that Ole Miss and Mizzou are tied for the 6-7 seeds at 14-13. One thing is for sure, we play sometime on Tuesday.Good call. I didn't realize MSU was so awful this year.
Well that is just flat WRONG. We could get swept by LSU next weekend, but if we make the SEC Tourney and win it we get an automatic bid to the NCAA.12 out the 14 make the SECT . Ncaa, No chance unless we win out season and tourney.
The SEC+ announcers also said the Friday win jumped us 11 RPI spots, not 25-30.Well that is just flat WRONG. We could get swept by LSU next weekend, but if we make the SEC Tourney and win it we get an automatic bid to the NCAA.
Also, our RPI after this weekend will be pretty decent. We just won a series vs the #2 team in the country on the road. One win against them shot us up about 25-30 spots, the second win? Who knows... If we win against #1 next weekend, even if we don't sweep them, our RPI will keep going higher... We are easily top 50 range after this weekend, a good showing next weekend and a couple wins in the SEC tourney puts us EASILY in the NCAA even without winning the SEC tourney. The announcers on SECN were saying the same thing all weekend, and- different guys on the same channel said it LAST WEEKEND... There is no absolute requirement that we have to win out to get in.. You completely pulled that out your @$$.
Thanks, I couldn't remember the number... Kind of exaggerated there I guess.. But... We are showing at 58 in this poll now:The SEC+ announcers also said the Friday win jumped us 11 RPI spots, not 25-30.
I think that is established, I was talking about our RPI and potential for making the NCAAs.We're already in, due to UT's loss yesterday. Now we're just playing for seeding.
