might be the biggest coaching blunder in more than a decade!
I like the call, but when you saw the formation of the D you have to call TO and then punt.
Actually, Alabama was better for awhile before Smart got Stupid, but I catch your drift.
Plus Bamas heisman trophy QB was out of the game. His defense was playing great. It was incredibly stupid
He had to know when he had Fields as and up back to block Bama knew he was going to fake it. That ranks right up there with having Z. White on a put cover team when he had the torn ACL this summer.
I agree that when they saw the defense in “punt safe” Kirbi should have called a timeout but needing to gain 11, I thought it was a dumb call anyway
They gave up 21 unanswered. Maybe had Georgia punted, Alabama would have scored anyway but with less time remaining. Who can say they wouldn't?
Still a knuckle head call and how on earth do you know if Bama would have scored? Please send me the lottery numbers for next week.
I just said, "who is to say?" But they had plenty of time and had just run off 21 straight. Huh? Maybe Smart was afraid to give them back the ball. He's got the best field goal kicker around, even if he DID miss one tonight.
