I used to watch this everyday from as far back as I can remember. Just realized I haven’t watched it in a while. Miss the old days of sports and SportsCenter

It used to be appointment TV. But like a lot of things these days - the internet made it irrelevant. Why watch a whole show when you can have up to the minute highlights at the palm of your hand?

I also think the shtick got kind of old. Watching Berman do his highlights now is more sad than anything. He made a whole career on silly nicknames and three stooges sounds - and when he does that now you wonder how that was ever entertaining to begin with. It was at the time for sure, but highlights with cheeky announcers is lame now.

I use to love it 20 years ago.

I got tired of it when it would boil a baseball game down into homeruns and skip over great double plays, etc.

SVP is pretty good. The Bad Beats segment on Monday nights is entertaining.

I don't watch much anymore, but SVP does a really good job. They have let him run with it, and he is a true sports fan.

24 hour-everything has ruined many networks.

Anyone remember CNN SI? I used to like that network more than ESPN as a kid.
