Star rankings - is there a site that breakdowns

The star rankings. Detailing what goes into giving a kid a certain grade.
I’m guessing it has to be some sort of formula. But to break it down by .100ths and ..1000ths seems way fishy. Way to much room for bias.

just curious. I don’t take much stock into it. But saw one kid have a . 8965 rating that was 4star. The next kid had . 8878 and was 3 stars.

that’s only .0087 behind. -

I think each site has its own “formula” if you will but a lot of it is based on very subjective input.
A lot of grey areas involved - most 5 star guys end up being pretty legit as do a majority of 4 stars. After that it’s sort of a hodgepodge of results - I think what is most telling is a players offer list. If you are a 3 star but being offered by several top P5 schools that’s a good sign but still doesn’t guarantee anything
