We are not prepared - again, and it could bite us if we can't . . .

find a way to break FSU's tough defensive play. We are letting them 'out tough' us and 'out finesse' us too. Gotta grit down, girls.

Can't really say their defense is all that impressive -- We're shooting 63%. It's the Noles' offense: they're shooting lights out from 3 and when they miss, they're getting rebounds.

The one thing I've noticed is even though we have size and talent, we are slow, other than Cuevas.

So if we don't beat a team the way we beat Syracuse we're unprepared? If any team manages to compete with us we're unprepared? These other schools give scholarships too, ya know. Even if some of them don't have to go to class.

67gamecock...I agree, anyone coming on this board and calling someone an idiot is uncalled for. That being said, let's look at why that poster said that. Your headline said "We are not prepared - again,..." You made it sound like our team is seldom prepared, yet we are now 34-2. How much sense does it make for a 34-2 team to be called "unprepared"?

"were not prepared- again".. Really, your an idiot.
Don't EVER come on this Board again and call ANYONE an idiot! Were you raised or jerked up by your rear end?
Hey, maybe you're not an idiot, I don't know you... just not sure of the right word to describe your opinion.. how about
"perplexing" (completely baffling; very puzzling) would come to my mind.

How about idiotic? That's what came to my mind when I read his post.

raised or jerked up, doesn't really matter. I know and "idiotic" statement from an _______ when I hear one, and that my friend, was definitely one.....

Today, we struggled against the P&R because our bigs either didn't show on the pick, didn't rotate to protect the rim or both. Once we picked up the defensive intensity and helped and helped the helper, we locked them down for about 4 straight possessions.

The only reason we were being out rebounded in the 1st half was our bigs weren't in position because they rotated too late to help. They were stuck on the wrong side of their defender because they left the guard to fend for themselves in the high P&R. If they had been more active and shut down driving lanes, we'd have had more forced turnovers, blocked shots AND rebounds.

Welch looked absolutely gassed for most of the game.

Coates was a monster. They missed her on about 60% of the possessions she was open...part of that was the tough on-ball D by FSU.

Wilson wants to block every shot instead of CHANGING shots, boxing out and getting the rebound...that'll change with maturity.

Cuevas is a blur...but she's not the only one. I think that if we would have performed better on the defensive boards, we'd have had more fast break opportunities...that's how you blow a game wide open.

Gaines is a good defender...wish we had 2 of her.

Mitchell is very poised and talented. Clearly our best 2. Needs to be a little more vocal at the defensive end.

Roy and Sessions...both really underrated. Both good leaders and smart players. I trust either or both of them in crunch time.

Dozier is a good player as well...tweener who needs to be a little more aggressive. She has a mismatch more often than not and is a good player to put into P&R situations as the screener...

No matter what happens, I'm EXTREMELY proud of our Lady G's and I will be praying that they not only win the National Championship but also they do it with no major injuries...I'm looking forward to a DYNASTY, not a 1 hit wonder!!!

Sometimes the other team has talent too. The FSU girl that has transfered from Kstate was good. And Bulgu was tough in and out of the paint.

Dozier was clutch with the those free throws. Perry and Terry had to have been proud.
