12:30 p.m. (From Wes):

*** Luke Doty was hosted on his official visit by Ryan Hilinski. His whole family was in for the trip and it was a special visit, he says. Spending time with his future teammates was a big part of that and he, Da'Qon Stewart and Mike Wyman all plan to be back for Friday's camp so that they can throw together. There's a chance that Tank Bigsby is back with them as well, according to Doty, but Stewart seemed to think Tank isn't going to be able to make it. Doty will also be in Columbia the weekend after that when his MB team competes at Carolina's 7-on-7 tournament.

*** Da'Qon Stewart has completed his official visit and says that the highlight was Coach Muschamp and the bond that he's forming with the staff and future teammates. Stewart says the staff is comparing him to former Gamecock Deebo Samuel and that means a ton to him, since he loves Deebo's game and is a 49ers fan. Stewart was hosted on his visit by OrTre Smith who told him to be ready and that the staff would play freshmen if they were the best players. Bryan McClendon told Stewart that he'd probably start out as an outside receiver, but Stewart believes he could play either there or the slot.

*** Linebacker Mo Kaba has completed his visit and says he was hosted by Jahmar Brown, someone he says has a similar laid back, chill personality to him. Kaba says he talked a lot with linebackers coach Coleman Hutzler and the staff sees him as a versatile linebacker who can play either linebacker spot. It was a great visit, he says.

*** Four-star OL Joshua Braun as completed his official visit. Chris caught up with him after: https://southcarolina.rivals.com/news/four-star-ol-joshua-braun-has-strong-visit-to-columbia

11:40 a.m. (From Chris):

Jazston Turnetine has committed to South Carolina: https://southcarolina.rivals.com/news/juco-ot-jazston-turnetine-commits-to-south-carolina-gamecocks

Story recap with Issiah Walker, who by the way is up to 304 pounds now. https://southcarolina.rivals.com/news/gamecock-commitment-issiah-walker-recaps-official-visit

10:48 a.m. (From Wes): South Carolina's official visitors will be wrapping up their trips late this morning and early this afternoon as they close out a big weekend. This morning's itinerary involves one final stop at the Long Football Ops Center where they'll have a catered breakfast, followed by a weight room/strength and conditioning demo from strength coach Jeff Dillman before grabbing lunch and heading home.

From a broad perspective, I'm told they feel great about how it's gone with all of the uncommitted prospects.

More specifically, I'm told it couldn't have gone much better with four-star DE Myles Murphy. Carolina is easily the leader right now, with the only question being whether or not he'll go ahead and announce a pledge or if he'll take his other official visits. Either way, I expect a decision within the next month or so.

I'm also told that four-star RB Tank Bigsby continues to act like someone who is already a part of the program. The connection with the committed prospects is big here and I believe Carolina remains the leader, which is obviously a good sign after Marshawn Lloyd's commitment last week.

DB Dominick Hill and JUCO OT Jazston Turnetine remain on commit watch for this weekend/the days shortly after.

We'll have plenty more as the day progresses.

SATURDAY UPDATES

*** All of the expected official visitors, save for Jordan Burch, are on campus as of Saturday morning. Prospects arrived throughout the day and evening on Friday.

As for Burch, I don't sense that anyone needs to get overly concerned or jump to conclusions right now. We frequently talk here about the unpredictability of Burch's visit schedule. We told you all earlier in the week that it was sort of up in the air as to whether or not he'd make the official visit (or be on campus at all this weekend). By week's end, that shifted to the expectation being that he'd make an official visit. The fact that it won't happen this weekend isn't a huge shock, and I wouldn't classify it as a negative for USC. Burch could still run over to campus today, possibly, and it appears he's just going to save the official visit for later.

*** The other visitors on hand are:
Commitments
Luke Doty
Mo Kaba
Da'Qon Stewart
Issiah Walker
Tyshawn Wannamaker
Michael Wyman

Targets
RB Tank Bigsby
OL Joshua Braun
DB Dominick Hill
DL Myles Murphy
OL Jazston Turnetine

*** The general agenda for this weekend is as follows:

- On Friday evening/night, as players arrived and after checking into their hotel, players and families had dinner at The Zone at Williams-Brice. Marcus Lattimore gave a presentation on Friday night on USC's "Beyond Football" program, and then from there prospects hung out with their player hosts.

- Saturday will feature facility tours where applicable, the photo shoot, positions meetings, and the player panel in which current Gamecocks give the prospects a dose of what things are like as a student-athlete.

- Prospects will be heading out to Coach Muschamp's home on Lake Murray for lunch and activities on Saturday as well. Then it's dinner that night and more hanging out with player hosts.

Stay tuned to GamecockCentral.com this weekend for updates.
