Only the most ignorant will continue fighting for the left but we all know a few will die on that hill. Sad but comical watching those STILL defending the indefensible. A true idiot can’t admit failure. These are the true failures of humanity.

I will argue for the left depending on the issue.

But I'm not a right winger. So, of course I will argue for the left depending on if I agree or not.

I'm somewhat conservative on a few issues,

i'm middle of the road on a lot of issues

and I'm left wing on some issues.

Yeah I'm at that point myself. The only ones left in this thread are the nut jobs. Posters like @Lurker123 are too ashamed of them to even make appearances.

There are a few pathological liars here- and there are a few that are conspiracy theory nuts, and a few that are somewhat reasonable.

Thank God I don't have to deal with liars and the conspiracy theory nuts in real life.

I use to. My wife's best friend's husband peddles some in conspiracy theories, mainly political ones. We use to be good friends but he went down this road pretty far after Trump had been in office a few years. He was never a big Trumper though.

About a year ago he was at my house in the summer for one of our summer BBQs where we take friends and family out on the lake and then we have a big BBQ here at our property. For some reason, he started up a conversation with my father in law about some conspiracy theory stuff of his that was political. My father in law doesn't like political stuff at all and doesn't want to talk about it and I could overhear the conversation. Eventually, I stepped in and told him if he couldn't change the conversation, I'd ask him to leave and not come back to my house and a few other things where he got the message his opinions on such topics weren't welcome.

My wife got a bit upset with me, but I told her I wasn't going to entertain that crap at my house, especially from a guest. He got the message, changed the subject and has never mentioned it again. I appreciate that and respect him for that. He knows I have not a problem in the world telling him to not come back to my home. I can be damn direct in person if necessary and everyone that knows me knows it.

My wife later told me his wife gets upset when he starts talking his crazy talk but she just has to put up with it. She's a great lady and I respect her for that too.

Thankfully, he got the message, and we've had some nice visits since then and things are fine and we've moved on. We aren't friends like we use to be- I wouldn't consider us friends at all now- but we can talk and hang out a few times a year without a problem.

Government failed and contributed to every one of these catastrophes

This is the problem when government fixes a problem, you forget what life was like before the government created that safety net. That's why you talk about the 1920/30s except social security was created because seniors were literally unable to quit working and those that couldn't work were literally starving.

Because that is what you usually do when someone spends the money you give them foolishly.

Like I said, they have plenty of money for illegals. Plenty of money for their green energy friends. Plenty of money to pay off student loans for people that clearly could pay them off themselves.

If you've got money for those things, then don't come back to me for more money to do the things you are actually supposed to be doing.

There is zero chance you're in a tax bracket high enough that Democrats want to increase taxes on you. The only people who want to tax you more are Republicans who want to shift the tax burden from the richest of the rich to your tax bracket.
