The portal is active. Lost a few good players. I currently have a son playing HS baseball who has potential but has several teammates that are legitimate D1 prospects that will begin receiving offers Aug 1. I will tell you that I doubt they or even I are considering USC based on the information that has been reported. I haven't seen anything that disputes it so I have to believe it is true. I imagine other kids and parents are thinking the same. The LSU guy has to go now if we ever want to have a chance to rebuild. We are in a heap of trouble if we lose Hall, Hollins and Scobey.

When Tanner became AD most thought it was a bad idea. I remember the feeling was that maybe he would at least be good for the baseball program. Well we all see how that turned out. First to worst in the SEC. Once again thanks Ray for your wonderful guidance.

He wouldn't leave. He's entrenched there. That's his school. When he came back, he's said many times it was to stay. He's the type of guy that doesn't want to hop around. He's just like Gilmore- who is his close friend and mentor. Gilmore was the same way. He'll get a big raise after this season anyway. The baseball program there has some impressive boosters.

My son just finished his freshman season at USC-Union. Had a really great year, broke several pitching records, and made 2nd team all region. Got followed by many schools out of state but none in state. Hopefully another solid year in Juco will help. I did get to see some of the Juco players that Carolina is getting and they are solid! Like an earlier post said, it’s going to take more than a couple really good guys to turn it around.
