The deal, so far, would be foolish for Ukraine. Russia has been almost silent on what they are willing to do. Urkaine is correct not to get too far out front without Russia saying what they are willing to do.
Putin is letting Trump do his work for him so far. Ukraine is correct to wait it out. Especially since Russia has not indicated any real assurance they will abide by any deal at all or even go along with Trump. Over the last week, Putin's spokesperson has disagreed with something Trump said 2-3 different times. In each case, Trump has remained silent.
It was just a show. Sort of silly.
Ukraine knows Trump is desperate for a deal to make money. They also know Russia has nothing invested in this at all at this point and isn't even willing to say they will abide by anything Trump says.
I don't think Ukraine is upset about this blow-up today. I think it actually works to their advantage about this.
A person on Sirius (A New York Post writer of all people) just pointed out this wasn't actually a bad thing for Zelensky. The NY Post writer also said this was very well could have been an approach that Putin wanted Trump to take. But, it's also something that Zelensky probably benefits from.
This was all staged by Trump and Vance. The way they were constantly looking at the cameras and had marjorie Taylor green's boyfriend ask the question about the suit to try to embarrass Zelenskyy shows it was clearly a set up. Kudos to Zelenskyy for taking it like a man and making Trump and Vance look pathetic in the process.

IMO, the reason why Zelensky keeps pushing is because the Biden Administration and NATO told him he can't allow Trump to negotiate a peace deal in his first few months in office.

Zelensky knows how to push Trump's buttons. He also knows all anyone has to do is kiss his butt and Trump will fall in line.
Putin knows this better than anyone.
That is what was superb about that. Zelensky came knowing he was walking into an ambush and just decimated his opponents. He went on international TV and showed what a true leader looks like.
Of course he's a leader who isn't afraid of a fight. He's not a war dodging coward like Trump and his supporters.

Vance is liar- even Conservative writers are pointing out Zelensky's habit of thanking the United States.
