--"Obviously a high-level basketball game." Said he doesn't think they played offensively and were too inconsistent. Put the blame on himself for not getting his team prepared for Auburn's zone defense. Said they stopped being aggressive on the zone in the first half and attacked it in the second half.
--Raved about Silva's hustle on the final possession for Auburn. Said he hustled to help defense, contested a kick-out three then hauled in a defensive rebound. Called it the "play to win the game."
--Martin put Felipe Haase in the game late to run action with Hassani Gravett and Silva. Gravett executed the play really well, was unselfish and kicked out when the defense helped. Then Haase drilled the three.
--Silva was "phenomenal. He played like a guy that only played six minutes." Team went 2.5 hours Sunday in practice and never came out of practice. The team hit it hard both days before the Auburn game and it worked.
--Martin doesn't care about wins right now and just wants his team grow. They've done that and the wins have followed.
--Maik Kotsar had a pretty bad twist in his ankle and Martin said last night there was no shot he would play. Kotsar knew it'd hurt after the game but gutted it out. Team has an off day tomorrow.
--In closing games, it comes with experience. Hassani Gravett has been a big part of that because he accepted his role and has been in tight games before like last year. This year the team is executing a lot better, especially out of timeouts, this year compared to last year. Said it comes from executing in practice and the confidence that builds from that.
--The team played really well defensively and a lot of Auburn's points came off turnovers and bad shots. Team needs Kotsar and Silva to play well and stay on the court and out of foul trouble.
