Who takes Connor Shaw?

He was a great QB at Carolina, he works extremely hard and is very smart. But he doesn’t have an NFL arm or the other physical attributes necessary to play the position. Teams have his film so they know what he can and can’t do. Having said all this, he may catch on with a team as the #2 or 3 and could get his chance again. Plus, he has had more than his share of injuries.

I don't get it about Shaw. I don't recall him under throwing receivers at Carolina yet they say his arm lacks some. All he ever did was win if they don't think he can play in the league why keep giving him the chance? Somebody is missing out on a good QB if they put him on a roster.

Bentley is doing fine at qb. Concerning Shaw, let's not write him off yet as playing qb in the NFL. He is the classic underdog who may surprise you!

I love Shaw more than any player . Other than George , the greatest player in USC history . That being said ...... he couldn’t take the QB Job in CLEVELAND !!!!! Let us that sink in a minute . CLEVELAND . Think he will catch on as a #2 or #3 somewhere hopefully .

Well, a lot of QBs have tried to be the man in cleveland.

Cleveland isn't exactly the best run organization in sports. They couldn't even do a bad trade right the other day, you think they can spot talent?

You're not really placing any stock in the decision-making that goes on with coaching and management in CLEVELAND, are you?? ;)

Maybe his arm isn’t great. But I’m glad we got to borrow it for 4 years here!
With that being said though, WHEN will we get a guy with a big arm? I haven’t saw Bentley rifle one yet.

You must not be seeing the outs to the wide side that I've been seeing.

I would love Shaw to come back as a coach. He was tough as nails

Didn't one of our coaches come from there to work for WM?

He was more accurate than the quarterback we have right now.

You mean he doesn't have the NFL physical attributes like Brees, or Brady, or Flutie, or fill in the blank. Have you ever seen Tom Brady's combine film? When you watch that, you wonder A) why anyone ever signed him and B) How is he likely now the best QB of all time. It sure wasn't anything close to Shaw physically. Shaw being injured probably weighs in as much as anything.

Brady is just a winner........and once he got a chance he proved it. Shaw is not Brady we all know, but his chances are always "hey, we're bringing in our 1 and 2 guy, and then we're bringing in Shaw and (insert name) to battle for the proverbial possible 3rd slot or a spot on the practice squad. Once he gets injured, he's an easy cut for a team.

You’re comparing Tom Brady’s combine film to Connor’s pro film. Go back and read my post.

Colin Kaepernick and Aaron Murray are better talent at NFL QB than Shaw and they aren't taking snaps for any team at this moment. Shaw needs to see the light and go find himself a job outside of the NFL. Just comes a point in time where you got to grow up and move on.

easier said than done for some people. he could start a QB camp and make a lot of money. you know you stayed in the NFL too long when it takes you 15 minutes to get out of bed every morning.

I basically agree with you. He obviously doesn't have the prototype arm NFL teams want to see up front. I'm just thinking he's looked better in his limited action than much of the crap QB play we see every Sunday. So it is perplexing he hasn't hooked on with someone. I guess I was trying to point out being smart and a winner many times outshines any physical limitations.

Anthony Wright played 10 plus years in the NFL never being a starter. You still have to be a damn good qb to get the 3rd string position.

This is our QB's second year. I'm expecting him to get his throws down any day now.
To me, the biggest question mark around this year’s football team, why is Jake not as accurate as last year.

I think that can help in college, but in the NFL, there’s just too much talent on the field for a QB that has physical limitations. I think the world of Connor, but if he was going to make it, it would have already happened by now.

It did happen and just as he was to show his worth, he had a major injury. The last one a serious hamstring. He has the injury prone stigma.

At least he is consistent now. He consistently throws too high
What part of 61% completion, 13 TD’s and 4 picks, 220 yards per game, don’t you like. Yes, he’s been high on some throws, he’s also had some drops too.

If he is 61% today I we’ll be extremely happy and if he don’t throw over rec heads all game
