Ours was horrible. But I see it at times on most other teams. A defender approaches a ball carrier and they seemingly slap fight to gain upper body positioning. And 6 yards later he goes down or breaks it for more. When all the defender had to do is wrap up the legs. And there are several different examples of bad tackling. But that’s one I see a lot. Guys trying to tackle a runner by wrapping up around his shoulder pads.
Now in the NFL.... they probably don’t even practice physical this time of year. But they get a guy on the ground. I get we are thin on defense. Small on defense. Young on defense. But of all things I expect from our defensive minded staff is a team that tackles efficiently.
