Gamecocks face off against Arky tomorrow for the championship.

HOOVER, Ala.-----Top-seeded South Carolina and No. 3 seed Arkansas each won a pair of matches to advance to the final round of the SEC Women's Golf Championship at Greystone's Legacy Course.

This week marks the first time the championship features match play. The tournament began on Tuesday with the first of three days of stroke play. Eight teams advanced to the match play portion of the championship with the final set for Sunday. Due to the threat of inclement weather, the start time has been adjusted to 7 a.m. CT. The match will also be televised live on the SEC Network.

In the quarterfinal round, each of the top-four seeds advanced. The No. 1 seed South Carolina defeated No. 8 Missouri 3-0-2, while No. 2 Alabama beat No. 7 Vanderbilt 3-2-0. No. 3 Arkansas beat sixth-seeded Florida 3-2, and No. 4 Georgia topped No. 5 Auburn 3-2.

Arkansas then beat Alabama 3-1-1 in the semifinals to reach the match play final, while South Carolina defeated Georgia 4-1. South Carolina, ranked No. 9, is seeking its second SEC title and first since 2002, while No. 2 Arkansas is playing for its first SEC crown.

This marks the sixth consecutive year for the Southeastern Conference Championship to be contested at the Greystone Golf and Country Club just outside of Birmingham, Alabama.

Btw, with all the wonderful golf courses we have in SC, can we host this event once in a while? Just like baseball, Alabama gets the home field/course advantage every year.
