Silence breeds fear

United Airlines 777 takes off from Maui heading back to the Continental United States and roughly one minute after takeoff the 777 drops 1425 feet and came within 775 feet crashing into water before pilots was able to correct aircraft and continue the ascend. Passangers stated that aircraft had an unusual climb then all of sudden did a nose dive. I think that the plane stalled because of the steep climb, however, United Airlines and the FAA does acknowledge the incident, but will not say what caused the plane to drop.

Is there all of sudden a problem with the 777 like the problems with 737 Max eight that caused two planes to crash after takeoff?

South Carolina Locker Room Quotes (SEC Semifinals)

I have plenty of other quotes in my two published stories, but here are some of the exclusive quotes from locker room interviews that did not make those stories.

Victaria Saxton:

"I just think that everyone came out there and did what we needed to do. We knew what we needed to do, and everyone followed the gameplan."

On LA:
"I think she's locked in, and I think everyone is locked in. When she came in everyone was excited, and I think everyone is excited for her. I think everyone is just excited for her and happy that she is in the place she is."

Aliyah Boston:

On transition:
"That's how we like to play. We like to play fast and get up and down the court."

On the game:
"I thought LA had a heck of a game. Everyone was playing team basketball, and it was a heck of game."

Raven Johnson:

On when Kierra went down:
"Honestly, next man up. Aliyah was the one who told me, 'you don't have to be nervous, just go out there and do your thing.'"

On the performance:
"It was great. We brought the energy, the FAMs brought the energy, everything was great."

Laeticia Amihere:

On her performance:
"I think I've been a lot more focused and focusing on my mental health as well. I think I've just been cutting out all the distractions and honing into my career and honing into basketball and just focusing on what's needed right now.

On the no point guard lineups:
Honestly we trust coach and whatever we has. I think our bench is so versatile and our whole team is so versatile, so we just make it work.

Kamilla Cardoso:

"I think we did a great job as a team pushing the ball and getting in transition and playing defense."

On the differences between this game and the last Ole Miss game:
"I think we weren't really scoring points in the paint. Today we did a great job of that, and we did a great job on Baker."

On LA:
"She's doing great. She had seven assists, 17 points, six rebounds, she's doing great. She looks more locked in. She looked like she was focused and ready to go."

Zia Cooke:

On bouncing back shooting:
It's definitely just shake it off. We have so many great players on our team. I'm not going to be on every night. I'm fine with the way that I'm playing, and I'm loving the way my teammates are playing.

On why this game was different than the last one:
"I think we were just able to execute in their zone, we were aggressive and we had great post play."

Olivia Thompson:

On this game vs. the last one vs. Ole Miss:
"It was just like a redemption game from last time. I think everyone brought everything they had. They really felt good. We've worked really hard, and we had to make it up from the last game."

"Just the energy that we had. It was a different drive. I think the last game was motivation for us. We had to come hit them hard this game. We have a championship to win too, so we were also thinking about that.

On LA:
"I think she's locked in. I think she's playing with a different energy. We all know that she had that in her, and it's great to see because it's really helping us."

South Carolina vs. Arkansas Post-Game Locker Room Quotes

Open locker rooms are back for the postseason, which means more quotes and takes from everyone involved with South Carolina women's basketball. Here's a thread with reactions to the 93-66 win over Arkansas from almost everyone.

I have more quotes from Kitts, Watkins, Johnson and Cooper in my latest story, too.

Aliyah Boston:
"It feels great to be back. It's kind of crazy that we're back in the SEC Tournament already. This was a great first game for us as a group. I think we played really well."

"I definitely think our defense was pretty good. Arkansas does a great job of driving the ball and shooting the ball. They hit some tough shots; they hit some really nice shots today but we just stayed at it. We didn't put our heads down. We just consistently continued to push the ball."

Laeticia Amihere:
"I think that our bench is one of our biggest factors. Knowing that the other team has to play with five or six and knowing that we have 14 players, so we knew that we were going to be gassed and we were going to have to run in the lanes and get easy baskets."

On post scores:
"I think that's something that we work on a lot as post players, just being able to be dominant. Last year and the year before we scored a lot in the post, so being able to have players like Breezy and Zia hit outside shots, I think it's helping us a lot more."

On the team's mindset:
"It's win or go home, so we take that personally for sure. And we want to win so we have redemption from last year and making sure we don't leave empty-handed."

Kierra Fletcher:
"I felt pretty good. I think we had a great came coming out. Everyone played well together. We played team, basketball, we shared the ball, it was a great feeling."

On the depth:
I think we just shared the ball well. Overall the whole game, people were hitting shots they can make. We were just sharing the ball really well."

Raven Johnson:

On her relationship with Fletcher:
Kierra always gives me confidence and tells me what I can do, and I always tell Key, 'nobody can guard you.'"

On the team's performance:
"The team, we came out firing. Everyone came off the bench. The starters, they started the game really good. And I feel like our FAMs, they always get us hyped up. When we hear them scream, we definitely feed off their energy."

Victaria Saxton:

Said she "honestly didn't until my teammates told me," on if she knew she was one point off a career high.

On the other post players:
"I have a lot of confidence. I have all the confidence that they're going to catch the pass and they're going to score. I feel like everyone just comes in and they want it, and it just shows."

Kamilla Cardoso:

On the performance:
"I think we all just played together really good and we shared the ball. The high-low was there, we were playing with each other, we were just doing everything that coach asked us to do."

Ashlyn Watkins:
"Rebounding is a major component in basketball games. It gives you a chacne to score a second time, and it also gives you a chance to get a stop."

WBB: Post Game Coverage

We’ve got tons of exclusive post game content right here:

Gamecocks likely to keep clem out of basketball playoffs too

clem had a nice season in the ACC. The loss to the Cocks adds one of their two quad 4 losses. And because of it, almost every bracket has the 21-9, 13-6 tiggers out.

The ACC isn’t as strong this year, but there are teams with worse conference records than clem that are virtual locks right now. Of course they didn’t get beat by the Mighty Gamecocks!

One of the attributes of Coach Staley's success, in leading this team

is her ability to make correct and meaningful adjustments at the end of each quarter. Her moves are not reactionary but, rather, planned and tested throughout that following quarter. Certainly, it would be difficult to argue that her recruiting ability isn't the secret of her success but, that's not a secret with the talent on this team. Her ability to see situations and make the necessary adjustments is what led to a SEC Championship and an undefeated regular season.
