The last few years that option was a Zero threat.

** There's officially new movement in the recruitment of Irmo (S.C.) Dutch Fork four-star wide receiver Antonio Williams.

The priority Gamecock target has scheduled an official visit to South Carolina for Sept. 24, the week the Gamecocks host Kentucky. Williams has also set an official visit to Ole Miss for Oct. 22 - that's the weekend that the Rebels play LSU.

It should come as no surprise that Williams has set his first two OVs with those two schools considering that we've been hearing for some time that the Gamecocks and Rebels are the two biggest contenders among the schools that have offered.

Williams is also still in regular communication with Clemson, Auburn and Georgia, I'm told.

The speedy, big-play receiver took unofficial visits to all the schools mentioned here in June but has yet to take any official visits.

Williams doesn't do many interviews anymore and doesn't really enjoy those aspects of the recruiting process but we're told the unofficial visit to South Carolina last month did go extremely well and was a key step in the Gamecocks remaining firmly in the mix here as he received a complete in-depth look at the program. That will be the case with the OV as well.

The current plan is for Williams to take his officials and then try to come to a decision in late October before the playoffs begin. I continue to feel like the Gamecocks are in a good position while it also has to be acknowledged that Ole Miss is a real threat.

Can't help but think of the stupid movie BASEketball (well, it had Jenny McCarthy in it, so I assume it was stupid...never saw it)

Heath talked about this a minute ago.. Wow, this is absolutely the worst ranking of the top college rivals I have ever seen!

Curious about how we stack up with our rivalry clemsun?

I believe some of the ranking factors in equality/ like the records being closer gives more points? So the deficit we have would hurt us there obviously but the rivalry ranking to me was less of a “WTF are you talking about” issue than the following-

The most ridiculous part of ours was their breakdown of prejudice and discrimination amongst the fan base in regards to the fans of other teams! They had us more prejudiced against fans of UGA than clemsun by just a touch- WRONG, but UGA fans are insufferable… so ok, whatever. Then look at the discrimination tab! UT by a LANDSLIDE!?! The answer to questions like how likely you would be to marry a fan of the opposing team and TENNESSEE destroys clemsun and UGA? WHAT?!?
