    Urban Meyer on Paid Leave.

I can be wrong. I forget the last time, but I'm told it happened. Was wrong here. I stand by the principle regarding classes of crimes and varying admin requirements, but based on what has come out today it does not seem to apply to Meyer.

    Urban Meyer on Paid Leave.

Probably agree. The only thing we don't know is what the asst coach was like. A high degree of sincere regret, repentance and commitment to change a behavior, along with a list of other good qualities, creates in any leader a sense of loyalty and desire to help. Sometimes that clashes with...

    Urban Meyer on Paid Leave.

Good point. Is Mrs Meyer subject to Title IX? If she says "I never told Urban", he's golden, is he not? They can fire him, but there is a huge buyout plus the sure to come lawsuit. Regulations that make special classes of certain crimes are dangerous. We all can agree on the severity of...

Brett McMurphy says Urban Meyer knew about coaches domestic violence.

In the sense that there is nothing new under the sun I agree with you. Nevertheless, cultures do change. The public's idea that they have a right to demand that someone else's employee be fired seems new. Or maybe, as you say, it is just the volume of it that has increased. In any event, it...

Brett McMurphy says Urban Meyer knew about coaches domestic violence.

Right, a lot of 'ifs'. This will be the most politically incorrect thing ever, but imo the rush to "fire him" whenever domestic violence is the issue has gotten out of hand. The law will hand out whatever punishments are needed - if they don't we need to fix that - and an employer can...

Seems several transfers from Clemson all the sudden

Some teams just don't have that problem. It happens. But not in XT's case. He's doing great.

Josh Belk not happy up in em hills.

With that lawyer? Okay. But yeah, forgot all about the minority aversion to sheep. Well, most people are okay with it so maybe CU is okay for a while longer. Who knew so many big linemen liked them? Dabo figure it out first, so give him credit for that.

I'm not trying to start an argument here. After all, several posts in this thread have suggested it is not what you have shouted in bold. So that subject is now open, is it not? But sure, it could be #1. Then I looked up the lawyer. Might still be #1, though less likely, and almost can't be #2.

Per Twitter spring game all-american Hunter Johnson is transferring.

To both of you guys, this may fall under the category of 'way more than you wanted to know'. My little girl just graduated college, and she is currently dating a guy I am not thrilled about. I don't need to get into x rated language for the three of us to know what we are talking about. But I...

SC is a hot team now, playing incredible ball. Baseball is about streaks, and right now SC is on one. Could work out really well.

All these are great questions. The longer it goes on, the more this looks like he acted up and was shown the door. This is his lawyer: http://gmslawyers.com/everett-stubbs. Resume': * Lander * Charlotte School of Law * Ducks Unlimited * Chester Chamber of Commerce * Rotary Club Not exactly...

Per Twitter spring game all-american Hunter Johnson is transferring.

Hard to put a "still can't produce" tag on a qb that went to the final four. Has weaknesses, some of which became more important against a defense like Bama's, but 'still can't produce' is not something 12 other teams including Auburn would say about him. If he 'cant produce' like that in...

Good question. Instability of what? If an enterprise has few options, no good ones are ever rejected. If it develops a base of resources and options, some will necessarily be self selected out. That state is one to be aspired to, not avoided.

That is a good question, but Bryant-Lawrence-Brice is still the best situation in d1 out there. Well, Hurts-Tua is great too, but in that same category.

Per Twitter spring game all-american Hunter Johnson is transferring.

Yep. If you are Johnson you have to go. If the staff was open with him he heard them say, "As it now stands, Lawrence has xyz advantages". Staying another year makes no sense for him. As for Bryant, it is hard to see him leaving. The only seniors who leave are the ones down the depth...

OT: what book(s) are you reading?

Good ideas in this thread. Will try some. I don't know why it took me so long, but I just discovered John D MacDonald. P.I. books, main character is a semi retired guy who lives on a boat in the keys and solves stuff once in a while. What not to like about that? But they are respected...

    Recruiting

Nothing lasts forever. Alabama was drifting into mediocrity when they hired Saban, so that could happen again. LSU was unbeatable until they weren't. Notre Effin Dame is struggling. Most fans think their schools can become a thing, as if a program can somehow, with the right coaches and...
