Looking at the bracket, I predict we'll advance to the Sweet 16 & either lose to Florida State (they're due) or USF.
Not saying USC is scared. You can be unafraid and still be not as talented. I know Uconn is not "scared" of any team in the country for good reason. They are way more talented than any team in women's college hoops. Not saying we can't pull the upset if we meet them again, but I would say the chances are slim.Yeah Right, Dream on....... They beat SC once, Payback is a bitch!! So you do you think the ladies are Skeered of UNCONN?? I dont..
i predict another Title.. Back to Back!!Looking at the bracket, I predict we'll advance to the Sweet 16 & either lose to Florida State (they're due) or USF.
That's stupid... We just won a natty... 1 game in early Feb means very little.. When A'ja gets several teammates to step up we are good enough to beat anybody.. You are one of those Nellie's that claimed we couldn't win the SEC tourney... When we finally beat UCONN and we will, Nellie's like you can put a sock in it...We have not proven we are good enough to beat UCONN after several tries. Let’s be real
Well if you're not aware of it, that settles itThe only such rules I'm aware of in baseball is that a regional cannot have more than one team per conference. No such restriction applies in the supers to the best of my knowledge.
Yeah they are so talented, Geno uses a 6 player rotation... They have flaws.. They are beatable... The most impressive thing about them is the coaching.. Their nominal competitive level and their fundamental execution is one of the most impressive things in sportsNot saying USC is scared. You can be unafraid and still be not as talented. some on this board have become..woe is me.. its not fair.... it really is amusing and pathetic at the same time
Actually, I thought 'amusing and pathetic at the same time' pretty much summed up all of us, to one extent or the other. I know I find my own participation on this board to sort of fit that description.
We're supposedly grown ups, and here we all are yammering back and forth with keyboards about underpaid college kids and their overpaid minders, Clemson, the NCAA, etc.
I hope you right sunshineThat's stupid... We just won a natty... 1 game in early Feb means very little.. When A'ja gets several teammates to step up we are good enough to beat anybody.. excellent question.....What I don't understand is why there is no regional in the South. The SEC is the best women's basketball conference in the nation and there are several SEC teams in the tournament every year as well as ACC teams, yet all the regionals are up north or out west, unless you consider Lexington, Ky in the south, which I do not. It seems there would be a regional in Atlanta, or Charlotte, or Jacksonville, or some place in the heart of the South.
They obviously don't take into account injuries to star players when seeding......unlike football. So they consider us the worst two seed? Okay. 26-6 record (with the best player missing a few games this year). WTF is wrong with the committee every f’n year when it comes to us and seeding?
And we also proved the point on the court. We lost twice to UT without A'ja, but beat them easily on a neutral court in the tournament. We also lost to Miss St on their home court and beat them easily on a neutral court in the tournament. It's not like we didn't PROVE it on the court. They obviously don't take into account injuries to star players when seeding......unlike football.
If they don't win each game by 30 or more it will be a surprise.Elite 8 is not a bad season. Hopefully we can pull the huge upset or somehow they lose before they get to us.
The bout before last seasons semifinal loss, UCONN beat Miss St by 60 points... Take that for what its worthI hope you right sunshine
I think much of the complaining is fueled by a feeling that over the last 5 years while SC has been on an historically impressive run, I can't remember our girls getting what I would consider a "good" seed in the tourney.
For example, Tennessee this year being sent to Lexington as a #2 seed is a pretty sweet seeding for them. Can't remember our ladies ever getting anything similar.
I am sure our ladies aren't afraid to play UConn. Still, lots of ball to play before an Elite 8 game.
2015 Regional was in Greensboro, and we beat the Tar Holes. What I don't understand is why there is no regional in the South. Actually Tenn is a 3 seed but still a favorable draw for them. I agree about the cumulative aspect of our seeding. Only once was it fairly easy for our fans to attend.I think much of the complaining is fueled by a feeling that over the last 5 years while SC has been on an historically impressive run, I can't remember our girls getting what I would consider a "good" seed in the tourney.

That's amazing. With almost half the teams in the tournament from the South, you would think that there would be a regional in the South every year. One in the North, one in the South, One in the Midwest, and one in the West would be reasonable I would think.2015 Regional was in Greensboro, and we beat the Tar Holes.
As far as I know, it was the first time a Gamecock basketball team has played in that facility since the men beat the Tar Holes there in the 1971 ACC tournament.
