Ok. We lost by 24 points to the #1 team in the country with a pretty poor performance. I distinctly remember a poll on here last August asking our IF Members for predictions. Most said 6-6, a few said 7-5, and almost no one (except me) predicted 8-4. And that was just an uninformed, hopeful guess.
Also, after Muschamp was first hired in late 2015, I specifically remember posters on this forum (who know much more about Gamecocks football than do I), saying that we should expect it to take 3 years for Muschamp to make significant improvements to our program.
I, for one, consider this a very successful season based on where we have so recently been. I have appreciated 8 wins and 8 great-feeling, coffee-sipping Sunday mornings devouring all the articles on the internet about the game.
