And that was AFTER she... "became the first player ever to be named SEC Player of the Year in three consecutive seasons."!!! ...leading the team to the 2017 National Championship and was the unanimous national player of the year as a senior.
And how could we EVER FORGET... Statue of A'ja Wilson approved, will stand outside Colonial Life Arena

Good thing she did not grow up 10 miles from the UCONN campus. Props to A'ja. She is completely driven and clearly works as hard on her game as anyone. In the game, she just won't be denied. Watched several of the Aces games this year. Lots of times A'ja is just running wind sprints as her teammates throw up shots and will not wait for her to get down the court to her spots. But, when she got the spot, and they called on her, she delivered. On a related but different topic -- hoping the USC women's team can find players that can come close to filling the roles that Ty Harris and Harrigan played last year. They were an awesome duo. Not sure how anyone can be as in sync with a team as Harris was as a point guard. Leadership, assists, buckets, defense. Complete package.
