Clemson player in big trouble

Boys will be boys. Let’s hope boys become responsible men at some point and don’t kill, maim, injure others until that time.
Boys will be boys is when Jr gets his Sunday best soiled playing in the mud when he wasn't supposed to, this is a guy who didn't get his ass cut once it twice when he deserved worse than a timeout and went to a place that didn't adequately establish a culture of proper behavior where others have gotten away with some bad behavior and then got given a car he didn't value, fear or respect. Teenage boys may race on since back roads at night, this was in busy roads in the day. Dabo is a hypocrite who messages that winning is more important than being a mensch while advertising himself as a Saint that trains saints. Now maybe the NCAA will ask why there's so many nice cars up there. I guess we can at least say kudos on them not being Baylor.

Just amazing what those clowns are able to keep under wraps.
Truly amazing, like living in N. Korea up there, nothing gets out and that isn't right. It would have been on every news station in town on day 1 if it had been at USC. They cover for each other up there, shouldn't be like that.

How is that scenario not vehicular homicide? Or manslaughter at the very least?
What scenario? Should the person die within 3 years from those injuries it would be vehicular manslaughter. At this point nobody died so it's reckless driving. You can bet his insurance company and possibly him personally will be sued for the medical bills, loss of income, pain and suffering, etc.

I’m not defending him. All I’m saying is young adults make mistakes. If everyone in here was honest with themselves and you took a poll I guarantee you would be I the minority on this one. Yes it was still wrong but he doesn’t deserved to be kicked off the team. I have a feeling he will be suspended for Georgia. But to kick him off the team is just nonsense. I also find it hard to believe you are being honest in saying you have never been over 70. You have not owned a Prius your whole life.
I have never driven over 100 in my entire life.

I have never driven over 70 miles an hour in my life. Why is that a political answer I made? If you have driven 100 miles an hour than you are an asshole who has endangered everyone else on that road for your stupidity. I would say that you needed better parents. But I doubt it was their fault. Quit defending the indefensible.
Never driven over seventy? Liar.

I was responding about this tragic situation Jeff described.

I looked this up to verify, and found an article (clemson site) that had him having two reckless driving tickets in a matter of a few weeks.

Just tickets for both, played in the next game and it was addressed with jokes from his coach (Spurrier).

Ah well, if rivalries didn't have double standards, they'd have no standards. Right?

I own a Prius and an old truck. I've owned a VW Rabbit diesel and a 1979 Honda Civic. I don't speed. I was once a decent skier but never went very fast out of self preservation - the same goes with cars. I went out to MT to visit an old friend who is a poster on this site and I noticed that the speed limit was 80. I still only went 70. So kiss my ass. I'm sure on occasion I have broken the 70 mph barrier, but I rarely have and everyone who knows me know how slowly I drive.

Drove my Porsche @ 110 for a few hours through New Mexico . Late that day going 90 , I was passed by a Fedex panel truck . Depends on where you speed .

When we moved here to Colorado, we saw went through north Texas. There were 75 mph speed limits on 2 lane roads -- and you could pass going around curves, since there were no trees and it was flat as a pancake. Crazy.
