Mullen is a good game day coach with the X's and O's. But he is not a strong recruiter, which is why Gator fans got disenchanted with him. Billy Napier is considered a strong recruiter.

Given they pulled the rip cord so quickly, I would guess they already secured the candidate they wanted (Mullen?) prior to the release of Arnett.

All that's left now is the affront that they weren't flirting behind a 1st year coaches back. They'll probably give a little time before they make any official announcement.
