Dawn being Dawn at ESPYs

Indeed. I've already said I gave too much credit to the American people.

I didn't think that many people would walk into a voting booth and let misogny and racism take over. The rot in American culture is far worse than I experience in my lower-upper class bubble.
Polling showed that when people factored race and sex into their voting decision it benefited Coupmala. But you're too dumb to know or too indecent to care.

First you have to get of the daily sushi and eat some red meat. Start there.

You might find your thought patterns begin to shift and estrogen levels decrease with the T infusion.

The pseudo-masculinity of the Joe Rogan meme world is really the saddest part of this whole situation.

I guess the garbage deplorables had enough of high prices, crime, and wars. What is misogny anyway? LMAO.

A common theme I'm hearing today is Trump didn't just play to his base, he expanded it. That has to be devastating to the libs.

Not at all. It's better that both parties appeal to more numerous groups of Americans instead of just a couple. It tends to help society more because it helps self regulate things a bit.

I think even Trump's team would admit they tried hard to reach out to people that don't typically vote at all- low propensity voters. That's a good thing.

The problem (for any candidate) is- they are low propensity and tend to vote for people based on personality. When that candidate is gone, they tend to fall back into a pattern of rarely voting or not voting at all. Obama and Hillary especially (2016) faced some of this same problem, not so much to the extent of Trump's cult of personality which is off the scale, but not totally different either. A healthy number of voters that supported Obama, didn't support Hillary. That wasn't because of policy. It was because of the cult of personality that Obama had- and Hillary clearly didn't.

Some Democrats made the mistake of thinking, "Well, these voters are now Democrats" when Obama won them. They assumed they'd come out and support Hillary. After all, she was going to adopt some of the same policies as Obama, but of course they didn't support her. The personality was totally different. She knew that but couldn't overcome it.

The proof will be in the Trump tenure in office. If their lives aren't improved, or if the coming tariffs hurt their wallets, or if something on the world stage happens that is unpredictable today that causes a disruption, then those voters likely won't vote again- or they might vote for someone else next time. After all, they aren't likely wedded to a political party anyway.

You can't imagine voting for Democrat. I can't imagine voting for Republican anymore (I use to all the time). But low propensity voters don't care one way or another about the parties. They probably can't even tell you much about them.

My son is a bit like this. He doesn't care at all about parties. He doesn't watch political news or listen to political talk. He couldn't tell you much about political parties. The idea of it is not appealing to him. But he can gravitate toward a particular politician under the right circumstances. He wouldn't care what political party they are in. He might vote, and he might not. He's a true free agent.

It is honestly devastating that 71 million could listen to Trump and think he's a better choice to be president.

It's legitimately scary.

He's been President for 4 years and everything was better so there's that.

But I think you know this.

I actually forgot about the fact we could simply be feeding a troll here.

Can't rule out the fact you're really a GOP guy with strange proclivities.

Well, I think Trump is a disaster of a human being. I think Harris is a much better person.

Trump also benefitted from knowing his supporters have never cared what he said or did. That's a luxury few people in history get to enjoy.

Imagine being able to go to work and say anything you want to anyone- curse them out if you want- talk about wanting to grab a female coworker by her genitalia- and no one cares. Trump has that kind of support. His supporters just don't care what he says or does.

No one else has that sort of position.

But Harris was a bad candidate. Now, some of that wasn't her fault. She ran a 3 month campaign against a man who has been running for President for 4 years with the longest presidential campaign in American history.

But, she wasn't willing to go anywhere and take the questions. The few times she did speak, she said things about how she wouldn't change anything from what Joe Biden did- a terrible mistake. Of course she was going to be different and do different things and would have done different things. People expect that you would- you are a different person. So this was a huge mistake.

She was a less than average candidate.

I always said, Gavin Newsome would have had a great chance to beat Trump if he had been running for 2 years and running against Biden as much as he was running against Trump. His personality and ability to go anywhere and stand up for his viewpoints was next level stuff. But he never got the chance. In fairness, he never took the chance. That was his mistake.

I suspect he will in 2028 and we will see.

The next 4 years could really re-arrange the entire process.

+ Legacy Media and its propaganda will all but die over the next 4 years.
+ The voting system will be updated.
+ Illegal aliens are probably gone.
+ The cheating mechanisms of 2020 and last night will be fully exposed.
+ The weaponization of the DOD and Intel Agencies by Obama and Biden will be fully exposed.
+ The Democratic Hoaxes like Steele, J6, "Fine People" etc. will be fully exposed.
+ Republican States gain electoral map votes.
+ The actual performance figures of the last 4 years from the DEMS are terrible and will be exposed.
+ Biden's treason will be exposed.
+ The corporate capture will be exposed.
+ Our history (JFK) will be exposed.
+ If the DEMS were in anyway involved with the assassination attempts, that will be exposed.
+ The censorship will be exposed.

The legacy channels (NBC, CBS, etc) are now forced to air these things LIVE to the people who are still clueless to the fact they've been lying to them for the last 8-9 years. It's actually a law that they have to because he is President. (if he calls a presser)

Democrats have ALOT of work to do just to get back to neutral now --- especially given the talent base on the right at the moment.

The good thing is Trump will be much more unhinged this term because he won't have those people in power who just ignored his wishes last term.

So we should rebound big in 2028 when people have how unhinged Trump is fresher in their mind like in 2020. Just sucks that he's going to have another 4 years to significantly pack the courts that will take decades to unwind.

You're only 1500 Days from your next roll of the dice.

Unfortunately, we are caught up in a cycle where the Democrats do the tough things to fix the problems then the uneducated blame them for it which ultimately leads to the Republicans getting a short burst of claiming success before the Democrats have to fix it again.

We will see the pendulum swing back in 2028 .

I also heard Jack Smith is winding down work on his "completely constitutional" prosecutions of Trump. Abandoning them entirely.

And some people were so excited about that.

This country was founded on the concept that all men are created equal. But now we have people arguing politicians should be able to be break the law and not be held accountable.

Crazy times.

Or, some Republican Senators might eventually feel more able to ignore him if Trump becomes more unhinged as President because he's a lame duck, especially some that are facing tougher races in 2026 and might privately decide they aren't going to run again.

It's impossible to predict that sort of stuff.

Typically, unplanned things happen.

In some ways, Trump was lucky in his first term that he was able to escape any MAJOR world tough disasters (until Covid). We saw what happen when COVID came along. It threw a wrench into everything.

He might avoid any major issues for awhile. He might have one happen 4 days after he takes office. We don't know.

Trump is also 78. He really looked and sounded pretty awful the last week of the campaign. He won't get younger.

You full well know we don't know what 2028 will bring.

The next focus is 2026 where Republicans have a lot more concern about losing in the Senate because they have so many Senators that are up- just like Democrats did this time.

Well,

I think we all know one thing Presidents never have to worry about again- this includes any President........

They will be able to take classified material with them when they leave office, absolutely refuse to return it- and Congress and a federal judge has set a precedent that there is nothing anyone can do about it.

So both sides get to do that.

I fully expect Joe Biden will take classified material with him again- this time information meant for the President only- and there is really nothing a Republican Congress can do about it. That's the precedent they helped set.

I was glad to see Harris formally concede the election today. She not only did it privately late last night/early morning, she also did it publicly. That was important and was right thing to do. It would have been wrong not to do it.

I also glad to see President Biden call Trump, offer congratulations, and invite him to the White House for a formal visit. That was tradition.

That is the way it's supposed to be done. Trump wasn't gracious enough to offer that to Biden. But I knew Biden would offer Trump that courtesy no matter his private feelings.

and I am sure you've noticed Trump has no issues at all with the accuracy of the election and his supporters have complete confidence in that it was 100% valid. As we always knew, if he won, it was going to be a perfect election and his supporters would have no doubt about it and would have full confidence in it. LOL
