Everything we do is either behind the LOS, a route five yards short of the sticks, or a slow-developing pass play downfield that has absolutely zero chance with this OL.
We can’t score in a crappy Clemson team- and pUmpErs are calling my incorrect Homonyms!
Trust your former Carolina players... If they said Shane Beamer would be a very good hire, then trust them and stop your bitching....
I am sick and tire of the minority of Carolina fans sounding like a majority wanting Beamer fired and hope he fails...
. . . and their DC ain't too bad, either. I still say he has a personality issue (fear of public speaking, inability to handle the pressures of HC, etc.) but he sure can recruit and coach Defense while still making more $$$ than many college Head Coaches.
We aren’t even playing them as competitive as Syracuse, Louisville, Fl State and on and on did!!!
And we are lucky it bounced out of bounds because our team had no idea where the ball was.
Let’s look like a decent competitive team before we stop bitching, it’s rather simple!
It shows how bad Muschamp really was. The gap got wider while he was here. Expecting Beamer to make that up in a season is not realistic.
Their defense has been solid all season. Anybody thinking we were going to light up the scoreboard against them was out of their mind. I honestly thought they’d shut us out a few weeks ago…but thought we might be able to get a turnover or two and get some points. It was going to take a memorable performance by our D to win this game because our offense just isn’t good enough to compete with their D. We knew that all season. We just got a sense of false hope when Florida’s defense laid down 3 weeks ago.
Do not know how the rest of this game will unfold but, our defense came into this game ranked 47th out of 130 teams in BOTH Total Defense and Scoring Defense. That is good, especially when you take into account how little support they have gotten from the offense. Outside the defensive line, we have little talent and depth. The job that Defensive Coordinator has done is remarkable in my opinion.
By the standard of competing for national championships, yes. By their usual standard of offensive production, definitely. Defensively? Not at all. That's still a top-15 unit.
If you are honest with yourself, you’d see this team is actually way more competitive than Muschamp’s teams were. I don’t like the result but that’s how far our program is behind theirs. But as bad as this is, it’s much better than anything Muschamp did against Clemson. Only exception might be losing by 3 TDs but Bentley throwing for a bunch of yards.
We won one more conference game this year, yippeee! And this is Clemson worst team in 7 years and we haven’t gained one iota on them.
Their offense is not good. No good reason for Klempsun to run all over our defense. We’ve really made no adjustments.
Those teams typically play Clemson pretty close. So no change, except Clemsons offense finally started playing better.
You were literally saying we would be competitive just days ago. What changed?
Those Clemson teams muschmap faced would be beating us 49-0 right now, you know that.
They are baiting us into those underneath throws because they know they're fast enough to cover them.
Brown isn't without blame, for sure. But the TWO good games we've had offensively have featured our big FB. And I don't know that he's seen the field tonight. Ridiculous.
They played them closer. I’m not sure they closed any gap. Those teams don’t have Clemson’s attention like we do. We suck, but they come prepared to play us. We’ve seen Clemson lose to Syracuse in their prime. They didn’t close the gap then…
Clemson has like 8 starters out, quit with the excuses. This is not a great Clemson team yet we are making them look like one.
How many 4 and 5 star players are not playing tonight for Clemson is the real question. Clemson’s Wr’s, OL and DL has been hit hard this year with season ending injuries. XT was announced out a hour before the game tonight. Clemson’s running backs each have been out for several games this year.
Maybe. But it would be because this is still a team Muschamp put together. Beamer wasn’t going to work a miracle in year one. We just don’t have talent on offense. Our teams losing back then we’re more talented than the teams we have now.
I said we needed a few TOs and breaks. Nothing changed, and you’re bitching as usual.
