Since I posted the baseball facilities yesterday, I figured I would post the ladies' diamond ball facilities today.

Love the elevated walk from Heyward Street (Athletics Horseshoe). It is eventually supposed to make the upper concourse of the Weems Baskin Track Facility and extend all the way to Rosewood.

When the walk is completed, it will form a North/South pedestrian artery all the way from the Horseshoe to the southern-most edge of campus. Also, once the sidewalks are completed around the Fairgrounds, it will connect pedestrians to campus, more appropriately.

Thanks for sending, very nice facility. Wonder how it ranks with the other softball stadiums in the conference?
Probably tied with or right behind LSU's Tiger Park.

There was a ranking that had it as honorable mention with LSU, Liberty, and Alabama as 1, 2, and 3 respectively. Problem is, that was a fan ranking, and not a clear indicator of the facility itself.

USC's softball stadium is easily one of the top 5 parks in the nation.

Awesome pics and facilities! What a freaking shame our program year in and year out was a top ten team. When other SEC schools added softball, they made big investments into coaches and facilities and left us in the dust. Compton was allowed to stay about eight years to long. The program has never really recoverd. The current coach has done a good job, but we are still a long long way from being a top ten team.

Bama's is very plain and simple. I really would have to say it's better than Bama's and I believe lsu.

It's almost like basketball. Glad we got smith and a brand new stadium. Beverly has did great both on and off the field. I believe she will get usc to the top

Is the track field complete? What all is the walk way going to connect to?

Crazy question, what do we use/if we do for the indoor t&f? I hear them say that all the time
Indoor Track and Field is another sport. USC is renovating the old indoor facility with a new banked track and seating. I don't have indoor shots, but I do have exterior improvements.

Here is the USC description with photos:

The new outdoor track and field oval will seat 1,450 with support building for storage and restrooms. The Athletics Village promenade walkway will be extended from Carolina softball to Rosewood Drive to support this new facility.

A new six-lane, 200-meter fixed bank indoor track with seating for 500. Support areas will include restrooms, laundry room, sports medicine and team meeting space.
