If Woody Hayes were still alive...

Hayes punched Charlie Bauman after Bauman intercepted a pass from Art Schlitcher (sp?). The Ohio St. qb had money bet on Clemson and threw the ball right to Bauman.

Art Buchwald, the famed Washington Post satirist, wrote a column after the game praising Hayes. He said he did the morally correct thing. Bauman knew the ball did not belong to him and he stole it anyway. Hayes was simply correcting him for his sinfulness and giving him appropriate punishment

Woody wouldn't be coaching in the game today. Don't think he could alter his way of doing things. And that way of doing things is not tolerated in today's PC, snowflake, world where the biggest sin is hurting someone's feelings.
