South Carolina hosted Florida offensive lineman Vincent Murphy for the second time since mid-January, and he culminated the latest trip by making a pledge to the Gamecocks.

Offensive line coach Eric Wolford is working quickly in the 2019 class, having also secured a commitment from four-star Mark Fox out of Miami on the o-line. He also has at least two prospects (Michael Tarquin and Jakai Moore) slated to make official visits in the month of April, with potential for more. If things break the right way, Wolford could be done with the o-line class by the summer, if not a lot closer to it.

As we wrote in our initial report about Murphy last month, he's not much for media opportunities, although of course we will try to catch up with him for his thoughts on this pledge. We also laid out that Murphy was named a team captain at a perennially loaded St. Thomas Aquinas team as a junior. That's a distinction that was is rarely achieved. Two of the guys that did it at Aquinas? That would be Joey Bosa and Nick Bosa.

Murphy's an interior line prospect that Wolford has been on for a while and was described to me by St. Thomas Aquinas head coach Roger Harriott recently as "an outstanding talent on and off the field."
