South Carolina will once again host several top targets from the 2019 class on Saturday. Here's a look at the group as of now, with other additions certainly possible before the weekend.
CB Andrew Booth - First hit the radar at USC's camp last summer, turning in a strong performance and garnering plenty of attention from the coaching staff. Booth's long said he'll render a college decision when ready. Clemson, Florida State, and Georgia are all significant factors here and USC could be higher in the pecking order after this weekend after seeming to be heavily in the running earlier in the process.
Josh Braun - A 2020 OL who's the brother of both a current and former Georgia Tech offensive lineman. He carries an FSU offer early and odds could favor him eventually receiving one from the Gamecocks.
Traveon Freshwater - This 2019 DL is one we profiled recently who had 26 sacks as a junior - and over 2,000 rushing yards. USC got in on this one very early, with Freshwater having already been on campus multiple times.
Anthony Harris- USC's had some success at Havelock High in the program's history, and Will Muschamp's been by the high school to get a closer look into Harris' academics and on-field play.
Sheridan Jones - A reclassification from the 2020 class, this Rivals250 DB is a hot commodity on the recruiting trail. USC's had an offer out for a while, but this will be the first visit to Columbia for Jones. Any big-time DB visiting is one to watch with Will Muschamp and Travaris Robinson; Jones qualifies. He'll see Virginia Tech next month.
Garrett Shrader - One of the most talked-about quarterbacks in the 2019 class because of USC's pursuit level, Shrader is moving closer to a decision. He saw Mississippi State last weekend on the heels of a trip to USC in January. This will represent a follow-up for the Gamecocks, who've long occupied a top spot (if not the top spot) on Shrader's list. He could see Penn State next month and wants to decide prior to the spring's end.
JR Walker - A teammate of Freshwater, Walker first hit campus early last year for a junior day and the Gamecocks appear to have significant staying power here as well. He's a big safety candidate.
