Kids today.

I only made it about 3 minutes but that was enough to tell it's just BS. Almost like someone made a comic parody of a conspiracy theory.

One major flaw is both towers fell and a new tower was built. In B2F, Marty ran over ONE of the pines on Old Man Peabody’s farm in 1955, which is why it was called Lone Pine Mall when he returned to 1985. If the pines represented the towers, it would only make sense if one tower fell and the other remained...not a new one.

The whole thing is ridiculous anyway, but just pointing out it’s not even accurate.

Personally, I think such presentations are harmless curiosities that nobody takes seriously. That conspiracy theory presents some interesting coincidences, but that's about it.

But as a reminder to FGF, this lighthearted discussion concerns the events of 9-11. I thought Rod established a couple of months ago that we weren't allowed to approach that topic with anything less than somber respect. I hope we aren't engaging in selective outrage.

The ages 14-30 really have zero to offer. Yes there are exceptions like anything.

The exceptions (& I have met and worked with some), are quite awesome because just a little bit of drive, responsibility and willingness to listen is going to position them for dynamic success amongst their peers, in several of these cases they usually have pretty awesome parents too!

I understand, i am old (45). However, I don’t feel bad saying the younger generation as a whole has very little to contribute. Like I said, yes, there are exceptions. If we went to war with China, Russia etc, I think they would go on social media to praise the merits of our enemies bc that is what they have been taught. It’s a shame. No wonder certain politicians want to lower the voting age. Much easier to manipulate a 16 year old than a 45 year old.

I think this is a basic assumption of almost every generation once they’re outside this age range. Old timers now were responsible for the 60s and 70s...I’m sure they’re parents thought they were contributing a lot to society at Woodstock

Riiiiiiigggghhht
Do you doubt the parentage part or education system part? Modern theories are improving how to educate children from different perspectives and more children are being reached from broader socioeconomic backgrounds than my grandparents or even my parents generation.

Leftists have taken over college campuses (at usc too). Truth is not relative but that is what is taught. Kids would do better to go to a trade school. They are lied to and put in debt in a 4 year university. Terrible cycle that doesn’t appear to be stopping anytime soon.

Dumb . Anybody on here every did the Dark Side of the Moon - Wizard of Oz thing . That’s super trippy . Didn’t believe it until I had a few one night and tried it . Pretty weird

I'm not familiar?? What is it? I'm having a few with the guys tonight so maybe we'll try It.

So true! It’s getting to the point small business is better off hiring people w/o the college brainwashing. Also cheaper to train.

You’d think so but this isn’t the case. I have come across at least 5 major conspiracy theorists in the past couple of years. I’d suspect some on here may even fall into that category of believing the Illuminati controls the country / world. They point to television and how they’ve predicted the future. They focus on the eye. One believed the snow in Atlanta a few years back that left the interstates looking like the walking dead with cars abandoned on the road was not real snow. They produced a video in which the snow would not be consumed by fire.

These people are storing up guns / ammo for the events in which the Illuminati or whoever comes after them. Between the five of them I’d estimated ive received 200 emails of videos trying to convince me of it. They range from Katie Perry videos (she’s deep in it...) to creating matter in Switzerland.

For some these things are harmless. Most of those are film theories. However this video is exactly the kind of serious stuff spewed by some as they call us who don’t buy it sheep. I eventually had to ask these folks to stop sending me emails as I didn’t have time to watch 15-30 minutes videos every other day. They’d always follow up asking my thoughts on them. Even when I asked them to stop it took a solid 2-3 months of honestly telling them I haven’t watched for them to get the idea they were wasting their time.

Ok the details are a little hazy but here it goes ... if you push play on the album after the 3rd MGM lion roar ( some say wait until the lion starts fading to black) the album will play almost like a soundtrack to the move . Turn the volumn off the TV or mute it . The album is only 43 minutes long and the movie is 101 minutes so I’m sure it’s a weird coincidence. It’s pretty crazy . There may be some YouTube videos on it . Search “Dark Side of the Rainbow”.

This Country has lost its way since The Great Society started and progressed through many other social programs under the auspice of “safety net” programs. Now, many in our society relies on these programs (and wants more of them) by government design. The problem with the Millienials is that there aren’t enough of them to work to continue/increase the “out of control” socialism in our country and, worse, is many of them want socialism - without the understanding of what that means (education system and social media fault).

This will probably be the first generation in America that will take their country backwards in terms of economic output and leavie the next generation better than them - and again, I don’t know that they care or, maybe, they just don’t really get it. It will hit them squarely in the face in a number of years - when their grandparents and parents are gone.

I can think of a whole lot of 17-30 year olds who are offering up a whole lot.

The leftists at every single level of education have now indoctrinated so many people, that those people are openly marching in the streets begging the government to take away their rights. But their idiocy doesn't stop there. They believe in countless contradictions that lack any common sense and when you bring them to task on any one of those contradictions...that they CANNOT answer mind you...you're immediately a racist.

As for the OP, I think it's somewhat sad that everyone just accepts the 'official story' without question. None. Zip. Sorry, too many things don't add up.

A perfect, mint condition passport of one of the hijackers miraculously survives impact, the burning, the collapse of the tower. ?? No. But yes. Why? How? Impossible.

To this day, no other steel structured buildings have collapsed due to fire, before or since 911. Ever.

Molten steel on the scene for WEEKS afterwards. Sorry, that doesn't happen with common steel. Once you take a long look at the scientific evidence, you quickly realize the official story is complete horse pucky. A lot of very good people died that day, but beyond that, we know very little.

Steph Curry doesnt believe we landed on the moon...

In his defense this is one of the most widely believed conspiracy theories and much of it does at least make sense. I do believe the US would’ve staged a moon landing rather than let the Soviets beat them there, if they needed to. And there is at least some good questions that demand explanation.

Personally, I believe we went to the moon. But I am surprised how much attention Curry has gotten for thinking we didn’t. Documentaries have been produced on this. This is nothing compared to Kyrie Irving and the earth is flat conspiracy going on.

I seem to recall generations in the late 1920’s and mid 2000’s absolutely obliterating the economy and leaving the following generations in some precarious situations.

Financially, Millennials have it far tougher than previous generations did with skyrocketing education costs (and subsequent debt), housing costs, no promise of social security, and an increasingly complex global economy to navigate.

And while we’re on it- could you provide some facts that support your claim that millienials are destroying the economy? Seems more likely that you’re just spewing baseless claims because you disagree culturally and politically with millennials.

Hmm, elders complaining about the younger generation. I wonder if this has ever been mentioned before

"The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers." Socrates.

I don’t make it a habit defending millennials but one can’t blame the millennials without blaming those responsible for teaching the millennials. All to blame.

I don’t think I said they were destroying the economy - did I? I could argue that many of them don’t understand economics and many of their social/political views don’t have shed a positive outlook for increased economic value (wealth).

While not a direct answer to you question or, necessarily about Millenials, no society that has went in a direction of socialism (even some all the way to communism) have been economically successful in wealth creation (albeit for a few of the respective country’s ruling class). By far, the U.S. has created more wealth for the lower and middle class (and thus upward opportunity from either class) than any country in the history of the world.

Especially the universities across America. They are all useless - unless, of course, the have a good football or baseball program. But, as far as teaching anything, most (if not all) are awful. Graduates today are ill prepared to enter the workforce (I interview many to find a good one).

I can say I didn’t learn a whole lot in college classes. Had a lot of fun. Learned some life lessons from being away from home. But literally nothing that prepared me for my future. Part of that is on me though.

But I would say it falls on the parents of this generation. Obviously there are some that did a tremendous job of raising them. But that’s the irony of most of the folks that complain about millennials...they raised them.

Just curious - what was your major?

Sorry, I guess I misinterpreted "This will probably be the first generation in America that will take their country backwards in terms of economic output and leavie the next generation better than them - and again, I don’t know that they care."

I'm not arguing your economic stance (not too much at least). No one can deny that the US is the richest country in history and despite unfathomable and growing inequality in the distribution of wealth, has done more for its poor citizens than any nation ever has.

I think my point is that you are calling millenials ignorant not because they're uneducated (most highly-educated generation in history), but because you disagree with their economic stances. And as someone pointed out, this has been going on since the beginning of time. On top of that... Who educated these millenials and imparted these socialist tendencies on them in the first place?

I may be biased because I work in banking, but I just don't see the ignorance and carefree attitude of millennials that you describe. Still a bunch of young, workaholic, Machiavellian types who are hellbent on getting rich no matter the cost. We may have an economic crisis up our sleeves, but I bet we take a page out of our forefather's playbooks and do it the old fashioned way... taking advantage of lax regulation and cooking up complex financial instruments that eventually come unraveled and wreak havoc on the economy.

Regardless of what happens, whether good times or bad times ahead, can we all agree we’ll have an abundance of photographers to capture it all?

It's not just ages 14-30. Alex Jones caters to an older crowd and he's nothing but a conspiracy theorist. It's just the times that we are living in. People don't want news. They want to be entertained so the news is fluffed up and exaggerated to ridiculous degrees to keep viewers watching. Take a look at the last presidential election. It became less about finding something good in a candidate and more about who could dig up the most dirt on the other. It's reality tv come to life in politics.
