Missour vs South Carolina GT

I can not begin to explain what it was like sitting in that stadium. Our reliable D was no where to be found. The refs refused to call Mizzou for holding and their OL was just too strong for us. We could not get any run game yardage at all. Their D owned the line.
Sellers saved us. 2 times he got 2:00 min drill 75 yd TD's in under 1 min.
What a game. This team really showed how good they are tonight. Most teams would have lost when they were down with 1:10 left.

Amen! These guys refuse to give up!

To the young fans running onto the field after the game: are you people just plain stupid?? Do you understand how much you are costing the university when you do it? If the SEC fines us this time it will be at least a half-million dollars, which means your athletic fees will increase dramatically. Dang people, act like you’ve been there before. When you’re ranked higher than the team you just beat there’s absolutely no reason to run into the field. F’n idiots

Carolina wins! That is all that matters. Amazing. WOOOO!
Go Cocks!

This coaching staff is managing risk over the course of an entire game.

If you miss the conversative play calling of Muschamp ("we'll just line up and play smash mouth football against teams with consistently more talent") -- those games remain available on YouTube.

It's not over. Hopefully they tune out that idiot Beamer.
Once again that fkin idiot Beamer is getting out coached. The Missouri coach is coaching circles around that dumbass Beamer. If we lose this game it's 100% because Beamer is an idiot.

I might break something if we piss this game away. Only one reason we are even in this spot..... STUPID coaching.

wow why would you even consider a trick play on that kick return

There's not much room left on the bandwagon.

However, we could tied a rope to your leg and drag you?

But you're probably more content to wait until we go on another dry stretch so you can get vocal again.

We are still going to win this game.

But all the red flags are still there but our fans are going to ignore them.

Looks like I was right that we would still win and our fans would overlook the red flags.

I stand by EVERY WORD of that. BeamerButtBoys won't be changing my mind. It will change when Beamer stops having these boner games.

Tommy still gloom and doom, Todd still inebriated and clueless. 2-pt conversion when Carolina up by 5, Todd said they're trying to make this a 2-score game.
Todd has a lot of loyalists. I'm not one of them but it is what it is. He's definitely passionate and a proud alum along with Tommy. I like your description of Suggs. It took 10 seconds after the td for him to accept we scored lol. Almost like someone told him he could open his eyes now.

I agree with you. I only listen to them when I have too...most of the (better) TV analysts actually provide some insight in play calling, schemes etc.

I'll give Tommy a break in that he has suffered through some crappy games/seasons throughout his stint as a Gamecock player/fan. I tell my son that being a Carolina fan builds character.

They beat us all night on both lines of scrimmage - out-rushed us, and received help from our coach on at least two questionable decisions. They got the lead on us in a fourth quarter in which we regained the lead twice and had it retaken from us both times and somehow we won anyway.

I hope everyone got a good look at it, because you won't see the likes of this very often. I'll soon be 74 and have never before seen a game contested that combined all these crazy factors.

1984 was the last time the Gamecocks brought winning excitement to this level

It looks like 5 teams might be the magic number for the SEC.

UGA completed their SEC Schedule. The only game that stands in their way is a pesky GT team but that game is in Athens.

Vandy taking out UT at home in two weeks would certainly help our cause.

BAMA losing to either OU (at OU) this weekend or Auburn the following would assist as well.

In addition, any Miami-Boise-Indiana losses might make the case for a 6th SEC team.

Yep. This coaching staff gambles often which creates opportunities we haven't seen in the past.

For example, there are times when we intentionally allow our OL to collapse and their DL to over-pursue to create quick lanes for Sellers and Sanders.

IMO, this type of mentality exactly what the doctor ordered as we're typically playing with the weaker hand.

Hence, we have to accept those "questionable decisions" in order to be in a position to benefit from the ones that pan out.

Even though A&M is technically our best win, I would think Texas beating them would help us as it knocks them out of contention. I guess you can look at it both ways though as it would hurt our body of work.

Turned out to be completely acceptable. Left enough time for us to respond to their TD. Otherwise, they likely score and leave no time.

Looks like you started your celebratory crap slinging too early.

^^^ This logic is why we have 3 losses right now.

Due to the long-shot nature of this scenario, I would rather have Miami win out and SMU win 1 of 2 to ensure that team up thar is not in ACCCG.

I don't give any coach a pass for bad decisions from which he has to be rescued by the players and other coaches. It won't always happen, just as it didn't happen in the '21 Kentucky game or this year's Ole Miss game. He's supposed to be making their jobs easier, not harder.

Spurrier never had the chance to be ranked #1. Just saying
Morrison's teams operated in a different (independent) environment; the 1984 team dropped its candy (a rout) against a service academy team, and our performances in bowls, including that particular year, reflected our inflated opinion of how good we were. Spurrier's best teams were markedly superior to Morrison's best teams, much as I enjoyed them.
