Muschamp has the most losses in his first 4 years of any USC head coach

Give us some numbers.

Believe Muschamp and Holtz are tied at 25 losses. However, Holtz inherited a true *trainwreck* from Brad Scott and had the 0-11 first year.

Holtz quickly turn things around (like quality coaches do) was beating ranked opponents. He trended up with his recruits.

Muschamp is on a downward spiral with his recruits - just like he was at UF.

Terry Bowden was fired at Auburn after losing 17 games in 6 seasons

Doesn't matter what Dabo's record was in his first 4 years. Since then, he has been able to lead the team in an upward trajectory with no limits in sight. This is the surefire sign of progression. We can hate Dabo all we want but the guy is a proven winner.

How can people say he has the most wins but now most losses

different expectations I guess

Well, the “most wins” was before this year. And the “most losses” is the current status. That’s what happens when you tack an additional 8 losses in a fourth year on a program that pretty much has played .500 for a hundred years.

We have lost 8 games or more in a season only 6 times in 112 seasons. All but two were in the first or last season of a coaches tenure. 1963 was one and the other is 2019 unless Muschamp is fired. Since going to 12 win seasons 4 is the second lowest win total other than 2015 (3).

Muschamp has proven at both Florida and SC the 2nd season is his high water mark. After that the next 2 years show horrible results. 10-13 at UF and 11-14 here. Florida wasn't willing to let him run it into the ground and sent him packing which is expected from a school with a good history. We seem to be doing what a school with much less success would do and that's expect something different from him after seeing his results at 2 programs in the same division. When he leaves here it sadly may cause the next HC to get fired quickly because of the dumpster fire he'll inherit.

True. It's only going to be tougher for the next guy the longer we wait.
