Rivals 2022 Football Recruiting Class Rankings ... Clempson #36? Is that real?

He's actually a 4 star transfer.

But that's beside the point. There is a difference between high school recruiting and transfers. You need to recruit well at the high school level and supplement it with transfers. You can't live off transfers and try to supplement it with high school kids.
We got a 5 star QB that was the best QB in his conference. Did we not just signed a top 20 recruiting class and have a top 4 transfer class? We addressed needs in the transfer. We needed a QB what did Beamer do? Went and got the best available QB. Leading rusher on a 10 win team while also having a 5 star RB Lloyd. If you can’t see that we’re improving then it’s nothing I can say that can convince you.

Well Lloyd was a recruit from the previous staff. Calling Rattler the best QB in his conference has to be a stretch because he was a backup on his own team.

Lastly, you're changing the goalposts. The question isn't whether or not we're improving, the question is are we improving on our competitors like Clemson.

The last 7 years Clemson beats us what was biggest advantage did they have against us? QB. We got the best QB in the SEC East and and if we’re being honest is DJ even better than healthy Luke? We don’t know. They lost to some alright teams last season and also losing a lot of their talent that they had. They two of the best coordinators in college as well. And since you love recruiting so much before Caleb Williams got in the transfer portal, Spencer was the number 1 ranked QB.

If you're right about Rattler being the best QB in the SEC East and among the best in the country, you're looking at a one year solution. So even if you're 100% right, we have an advantage on Clemson next year then back at a disadvantage in 2023.

Do you not see the problem with this?

I get this may be a personal thing going between you guys, but we've had threads here discussing how transfers aren't the same as recruits and how it now totally screws up recruiting rankings because of how to judge them.

So just because a few guys on a message board say it makes it so? LOL!

No, just meant that it's been a topic of discussion, and hardly something this guy just made up.

But carry on.
Seriously. One only has to look at the recruiting sites to see that there are separate categories for recruiting classes and transfer classes.

Honestly, I wish they WOULD find some algorithm to meld the two since they both count towards the overall scholarship limit and both feature new players to the team.

But until then, yes. The two are considered separate classes.

With the transfer portal, no program in the country know what their QB situation will look like. We have to worry about the now. I’m very confident in Doty and the rest of the high 4 star QBs we have on the roster lol our situation looks better now than it ever looked since 2014.

Sure you can have confidence now. But are you honestly telling me you wouldn't feel better about us moving forward if we were grabbing 5 star hs qb recruits?

Nah. I trust our coaching evaluation. Until they show us they can’t be trusted. It’s only a couple of 5 stars every cycle. As long as we get a good QB Idc about the stars. Our best QB in school history was a 3 star

One more thing, Clemson have 3 5 star QBs on their roster right now. One got beat out by Ryan H at Northwestern, One is DJ and we saw how he can’t throw a 5 yard slant, and the other is a Fr. I like our QB situation now and in the future compared to Clemson.
