So if Durkin is fired by Maryland, given his past association with Muschamp, would you object to Muschamp hiring him? If not as DC, as a position coach?

The last thing we need to do is hitch ur horse to that cart. I understand friendship and loyalty, but it would be a horrible optic for us. Hopefully Muschamp supports him privately.

With Baylor in the Big 12, we've seen the trouble up close of having coaches who tolerate suspect character issues. We love our DC, if we fired anybody it would be the OC.
No! If these assholes wouldn't take Kendal Briles around here then we damn sure aren't taking Durkin.
We already have an OC on staff who put up as good of offensive numbers as Briles and did it in a conference that actually plays defense.

Durkin definitely is not coming here to be DC or OC. BMac and TRob are here til they get a better offer somewhere else.

I'd say he gave us 1 1/2 years more than he should have. He knew inside that he had actually quit.
We are discussing defensive coaches....and UF had a smothering defense during Muschamp's tenure. One of the best in the country. If you were talking about offensive coaches, I'd probably agree.
I imagine his recruiting ability will suffer going forward. Mamas will not want to send their boys to play for him.

Very surprised. Usually a kid dying on your watch in direct relation to your conditioning program is enough to terminate a coach.

Muschamp got a lot of grief for sticking up for his friend. The mob with torches was really out for Durkin.
The president is going; Durkin is staying. But his survivability is in no wise assured. The waters are troubled.
Which perversely puts more pressure on him to win, which means he puts more pressure on his players, which is the opposite of what many hoped for.
