Terry Bradshaw getting slammed for comments on Erin Andrews

It could have been worse. He could have asked her if she had any copies of the pictures the guy took of her through the peephole in her hotel room 10 or 12 years ago. 😃

However, it should be noted that Erin had to deal publicly with a very troubling stalker situation several years back. Her handling of that situation (at least what the public saw) seemed extremely brave and professional. I gained a great deal of respect for her when she went back to work. (I get that this thing with Bradshaw is by no means the same situation).

For me this was the part that had me shaking my head. Andrews was basically sexualized for the first almost decade of her career - known As the super hot chick on the sidelines of college football games (and that was it). It culminates in her stalker.

And now over a decade after someone going so far as to film her in a hotel room, after a fairly distinguished career (where she shows she might know something about football), she still can’t get on screen without someone drooling all over her publicly.

I don’t think anyone should be outraged by Bradshaw (again, he sounds out of it these days - as 70+ people can because of age). But it’s still one of those eye roll situations where being a professional still doesn’t apply when a pretty girl is around.

Didn't read the thread so this was probably posted several times but Erin Andrews is on TV because of one thing. Her looks. That is the only reason.

He was not drooling. He was, for the nine hundredth time, commenting on liking her choice of Cowboy attire for a story on horses. Give it up, this is one minor issue you want to resonate, but there is zero there. We all know about her past, it's sad. But this is in no way related.

“You got your cowboy boots on and your shirt, you’re lookin’ good… That was nice. I enjoyed that interview.”

You can’t see the changes in inflection in a quote when he caught himself being creepy. It’s ok, he was an old man who caught himself being creepy. He didn’t happen catch himself being a professional and change his tone. He caught himself being creepy.

Again, no one should be outraged by this. I think he realized it on his own. It’s all good. Especially since no one was hurt and maybe some men learned that work is where you work, not where you practice pick up lines.

Ray Kinsella: So what do you want?
Terence Mann: I want them to stop looking to me for answers, begging me to speak again, write again, be a leader. I want them to start thinking for themselves. I want my privacy.
Ray Kinsella: No, I mean, what do you WANT?
Terence Mann: Oh. Dog and a beer.

if only they could…..
🥺

I've yet to meet a woman who didn't enjoy a compliment on their wardrobe.

Maybe it's a southern thing but I was taught that a compliment was a nice thing to offer.

Yep, the media discriminates against less attractive people. That's the only reason I'm not on tv.

99% of the female sideline reporters are not hired for their reporting skills. They are hired as eye candy as much as anything. Fact of life. She should be thankful for Bradshaw's comments. The gal has been around a while and if she starts gaining weight, or losing her looks, they will remove her in a heartbeat.

People need to realize Terry owns a horse ranch and lives the cowboy lifestyle. He loves all things western. This would be like Mario Andretti complimenting a woman’s driving skills. Non-story.

Twitter outrage should rarely be taken seriously. Ironically, the reaction to the outrage often gets even more clicks.

So in review, people on this Social Media page, upset and complaining about other people on social media who got upset and are complaining on social media.
Problem is, Twitter is referenced repeatedly on news outlets such as yahoo.com and taken as gospel and truth/accuracy by the gullible mentioned previously on this post. It is also referenced (“trending”, etc) on national networks, ABC, NBC, and shows, 60 Minutes, etc.

None of your post changes what I referenced in my original post.
