No kidding. I just heard on Sirius yesterday that if we had won the 3 games that we had 2 TDs leads, we win the East and go to Atlanta. We were close to getting to Atlanta last year if we just finish the job. I think this team knows how to finish.

Newsflash: we're not Alabama. We have to win championships in order to recruit at that level. Our program doesn't have the name recognition yet.

You do recall that Alabama was terrible with an array of coaches between Stallings departure and Saban's arrival. It's call recruiting, big boosters, palaces for the players to live in and work out in, and coaches that believe the "process" is more important than winning ugly and accepting average play and recruiting average players.

And some of these teams that recruit well won Championships when the rules about paying players under the table weren't enforced as well or heavily as they are now. The NCAA knew about a lot of this stuff but back then, they got paid off too.

Until we win a National Championship or a SEC championship, we are going to have to find a way to win without the 5* recruits...meaning we have to depend on the coaching staff to get these guys to play better as a unit than their individual rankings would suggest...

Can be done...and will be done. But until that happens, there is no need to expect us to lead the Nation in recruiting...
