I literally thought Jesus might come back before Clemson beat us again in football or in a baseball series. Football was just sad this year with the horrible D and the pitiful end of game play calling. When Dabo signed an 8 year contract I thought we would win 13 in a row. They won so convincingly it was almost anti-climactic. I expected Dabo to go streaking or something when they won, but he acted almost normally.
Basketball started 9-3 and beat the living crap out of cowtech and others. This is obviously not the norm and they are now 14-14. At least the basketball team plays with heart and effort though!
Baseball loses 2 out of 3 to the tatertots, and goes down 7-0 in the finale. I'm usually a sunshine pumper kind of guy, but they didn't put up a fight and were overmatched. Somehow they look to be less talented and they played like the bad news bears!
Women's basketball has been the only bright spot this year! If they could win it all, it would definitely salvage the sports season. I never thought I would enjoy WBB more than all of the men's sports but they are entertaining, and the men's sports have not been.
I'll always pull for the Cocks win or lose, but this year has not been fun to watch, and sometimes I feel like I wish I had my time back after watching these listless performances!
