Even in a worst case scenario the writer could not bring himself to predict them losing to us. Worst case scenario has them losing to Notre Dame, Louisville, GT, FSU, Miami, and NC State, but beating us by two touchdowns in Columbia.....yeah.....okay. I guess it is his fictitious story, so.....oh well. Actually, 95% of the article makes a lot of sense. I can see the loss to Notre Dame, Loiusville, Georgia Tech FSU, and us. Miami and NC State are most likely wins. All of those teams have improved. Fortunately for them, they play all of the stronger teams at home for the acceptation of Louisville and us. At Miami may be a rough one for them. Of all the bad scenarios mentioned, the loss of Chad Morris is the worst. Young talent could step up and surprise with the other bad scenarios, but no one on that team can replace Chad Morris.

They don't call it Clemsoning for nothing. The will pull a clemson at some point

mouth breathers who pollute other teams message boards. have you come up with a name for that yet??

I believe yall started a new era last year........Going from ranked #9 to to having a 7-6 season and blowing all those 4th quarter leads. Its called COCKFLOPPING.

It was called Lorenzoing, and that era has ended. We will see some Clemsoning at its finest when Dabo attempts to do his best impersonation of Chad Morris this year.

HAHA! I guess you didn't watch our bowl game then........
I did. You beat the worst Oklahoma team in 20 years, a team so depleted of talent that they had problems putting players on the field. It was obvious Oklahoma was playing out the string and didn't have any interest in the game, but you go ahead and believe that CLEM5ON WILL SIMPLY "RELOAD" THIS YEAR. MY GUESS IS YOU LOSE AT LEAST 5 GAMES PLAYING IN THE MOST MICKEY MOUSE FOOTBALL CONFERENCE IN AMERICA. Now run away pussycat. The adults want to discuss football.

HAHA! I guess you didn't watch our bowl game then........

Dabo will feel high and mighty after lopsided wins over Wofford and Ap State, and a win on the road to Louisville (good defense, average offense). After Notre Dame and GT visit Pickens, Dabo will be left scratching his head. All the usual National Championship talk will be over 5 games into the season.

Although CU did look really good in the bowl game I still wonder about the Co-OC thing. Lorenzo had never been a Head DC and looked how that worked out. Now CU has two Co-OC's of which neither have been OC's before.

It might work out for CU, but then again it might be an ultimate failure, especially when the pressure is on at the end of close games. No one knows yet.

The thing about our game against CU and the CU bowl game is that I thought the play calling was very predictable. It was all the short, quick pass stuff. Neither Oklahoma or us had an answer but I think if that is the primary play calling all year there will be teams that will be able to stop that and will be able to effectively game plan against it. Teams that have good DB's that can press and bump CU's WR's at the line. Basically CB's that can hold their own without help.

I expect CU to have a good team this year. But I expect us to have a good team also.

Good to see tater tots on here its been so long. You ain't coming to Columbia and getting a win. 1 game winning streak.

Well at least we have the recruiting to at least be optimistic for a great season. Not saying it will be cause anything can happen and you have to have a lot of luck along the way. Yall on the other hand....

Five out the last six but it good to see you keep hope alive. I predict CU will have the year we had last year.

"Well at least we have the recruiting to at least be optimistic for a great season"

And you also have Dabo so he should cancel most of that out. Unless he gets out of the way but Chad not there to help

They now have weakness at DE just like we did last year.
correct but the talent we do have on that side of the ball is light years better than yalls and no need to even mention on the other side of the ball because thats in a different galaxy.

Case in point. Tater living in Fantasy Land. Last year yes. This year.. LMAO!!

Wish I could stay here and play with you guys all day but I have to get back to this thing called a job. I think I'm gonna go get lunch now though and get one of your alum to make me a cheeseburger at Burger King. I'll have fries with that.

Responses in this thread are hilarious....Clemsoning hasn't been a thing almost as long as SCar has been relevant.

We haven't lost to an unranked team in what...3-4 years?

If one program can change, the other can too. Stop living in the past...you can't have it both ways.

Wow how original.

Not very surprising that you eat there. I can almost picture you.

It may appear that way but to be fair in our offense (or anyone else's these days) there is no set "play" called. Almost all of our plays have multiple options and then certain keys are read by what the defender reacts to. If a lot of short passes were thrown, it was because that is what was given. Plus in the bowl game we were limited by Stoudt's arm strength. Before Watson went out, we threw a ton of intermediate and long passes.

A couple of thoughts.....

The Clemson defense will absolutely have a drop-off. They lose way too many starters not to experience a big drop-off. I think Venables is a better coach than Ward.....so their drop-off may not be as dramatic as what we faced last year. However I fully expect the Gamecock defense to be better than Clemson's defense this year.

At some point the loss of Chad Morris is going to hurt Clemson. Also, I wouldn't give Jeff Scott too much credit for the 40 points against Oklahoma considering that the Clemson defense forced five turnovers in that game.

Same old problem with Tiger fans you live in the past. It's like racing; what's behind you ain't important.
OK, then by that logic, yalls 5 game win streak means nothing cuz its in the past. We won last year so that means we are way better. Let it go man, its like racing, what's behind u isn't important.

Let it go? you're on our site. Go back to the sad apple and talk to yourself.

Viagra has worn off, the USuc Cock is down for the count with no impression of ever rising again. You gave it a good run. We will call it your Marino period; lots of numbers but nothing really to show for it in the trophy case.

How does it feel to know your program and coach is viewed based on past performance with nothing more reallyexpected? It has to hurt a little when the country at large views both as on the down side. While everything you read and watch has your arch rival as the total opposite. I mean you can always point to The OBC and his time at Florida but even that memory is fading. Most of today's fans remember the gators as Urban's team.

So one year makes a team? I guess that is what I am hearing. Because we cant talk about the recent past except for last year and we are supposed to base everything that is going to happen in the future on just last year.

In that case, CU is still screwed because FSU will continue to dominate the ACC.

I used to get into all the trash talking but then I grew up. There are too many variables that go into determining a season to predict realistically what is going to happen. Injuries to key players, bad luck, bad chemistry, new coaches, etc.

We were predicted to be mediocre and we had our best 3 seasons ever. Then just when all the prognosticators jumped on board and predicted success we were mediocre. So who knows?

This is what I call a T.T. Typical Tater. Any idea why people dont like the Taters? I mean it's difficult to understand.

Most of what you have said is just idiotic. It is not even worthy of an attempt at trash talk because half of it is irrelevant.

How anyone who follows southern football can consider this year's Clemson bunch as a really good team is beyond me and here are some of the reasons.
They reside in the ACC

They lost Morris as OC and at the beginning of last the Taters no less were calling him the best in the land. Now Dabo and the kids take over the O.

They lost almost the entire defense that cannot be replaced.

They still will have a weak O Line.

They will feature a gimpy legged QB that odds say will go down earlier in the year with no replacement.

Boulware is the best LB and is slow and undersized.

They still have no power back.

Average special teams.

Add to this that their schedule is some what respectable this year and I see possibly five losses before they must come to Willy B and face Spurrier and the Cocks. I think Steve wants to smash peckerwood real bad this year.

It will be freaking hilarious IF it turns out that the Gamecock D is actually better than the "mighty" clemnons D is this season!! Don't laugh taters, it could happen. Ours was so bad last year it can only get better this season, yours was so good it can only get worse (considering you lost 8 starters from it). There will be a meeting somewhere in between and we will find out in a few months.

You wish. #clemsoning was the #1 trend in the country (maybe the world) on twitter. Carolina's never been there, not making fun of our name and entire program. Keep on pulling a clemsux!

Well manafold, people who know about southern football disagree with u. Big shocker there. Pretty much everyone has Clemson ranked in the top 15 and that's where they are going to be preseason.

Manafold, how did that gimpy legged qb do against y'all last year?
Manafold, how did the sec east do against the acc last year?
Manafold, how did our running back and o line do against y'all last year?

You take the crown as the village idiot on fgf. Every post u make is so dilusional even your fellow shamecock fans don't respond to them and when they do they are disagreeing with u.
