Yellowstone

I was a little underwhelmed with the finale this season, but kinda glad it was not as shocking as last season. They've set us up for some interesting story lines next season. Now that John "owns" Jamie, how will that affect John's run for Governor? Or will he let Jamie run and have him undo all the deals with Market Equities. Jamie proved his loyalty to the Dutton side. There's going to be more come of the scene where Carter calls Beth "Mama" and she instinctively replied. And Rip will play a big role in that. He's going to find out about what Jamie did. And that Beth lied to him when they were younger. I loved him standing up to her about her promise to him.
Who was the "us" Kacey was talking about? I think Monica has had her own vision and knows as well. Her reaction was quite calm. Is it he and Monica or his family? I think he's going to end up back at the ranch ultimately.

That whole “vision” arc irritated me. Up until this point, the show was entirely grounded in realism. Sure, somethings were over the top and could be argued as “that wouldn’t happen”, but nothing like this. If instead of Mo and Rainwater leading Casey to his “Native American Vision”, what if it had been the priest Beth kidnapped? What if he instructed Casey to pray to God, and God sent him a vision? This whole thing is about two steps short of having Carter visited by a huge Scottish guy and being told “Yer a wizard, Carter!”

I enjoyed it, being 1/16 NA. It's a side of my heritage that I haven't really looked into until later in life, and some of it has been spurred by the NA portrayals in Yellowstone. I think it fit perfectly with his arc of getting away from the Duttons and embracing more of his wife's life. Kacey has always been troubled by his past, and how to join his Dutton heritage with his wife's heritage. He loves both but is caught in the middle. I think they will expand on it more next season, and we'll get more of the purpose.

Well I lived in the South in country living for 11 years as an adult. Plus, that is just a dumb statement. So does that mean I can't relate to something where the lead characters name is Steve, because my name is Kris?
My wife is from South Jersey and watches Yellowstone every week. Maybe you're from North Jersey.

We both like Yellowstone even if some of the characters are annoying and the plot lines excessive. We also liked Bosch, Justified, and Longmire.

This seasons finale last night was OK but not up to the previous seasons. The writers need to step it back up for next year.

Don’t watch much of anything but sports and westerns. But “Justified” (2010-2015) was as good as I’ve seen.

I thought it was decent. The vision arc sets up some tension between Kayce and John. Kayce will want to clean his act up, John won't let him. The kid calling Beth Momma is going to develop more. Beth getting fired will tie in with her owning Jamie. Beth is going to go after Market Equities as never before. Not sure how 4 6's plays unless the actor is leaving the show. Rip is going to be Rip. It's a good show. I like Sam Elliott in 1883 and didn't recognize Faith Hill and Tim McGraw. Tim got him some hair. His character is like John Dutton version 1.0

There is going to be a spinoff with Jimmy at the 6666, that will have some crossover episodes.

The vision is going to cause problems between Kacey and Monica, not Kacey a d John, now that I think about it more.

Your absolutely right, and I apologize. I guess it just struck a nerve because every person I have ever met from New Jersey starts off with " I'm from New Jersey " like it makes a difference. Then went on to write a book about how shows from New Jersey and New York are better written etc. Again I apologize.
Nothing to apologize for…I agree with you.
