Trump isn’t a traditional republican.

WBB vs. Texas Live Thread

Well, here we are. Biggest game of the season for South Carolina women's basketball to date. Gamecocks holding down No. 2 in the rankings with No. 5 Texas in town. It's a renewal of the Dawn Staley vs. Vic Schaefer rivalry, and the winner will have an inside track towards an SEC regular season title.

Everyone but Ashlyn Watkins is present and warming up. It's a 1 p.m. tip on ESPN. Atmosphere is already building.

Eliminate as much government as possible and you eliminate that many D votes. Like you said if you WORK for a living you don’t vote left. Government jobs are welfare and vote buying pure and simple. Incompetent, zero responsibility, does more harm than good to us and our children with absolutely no accountability, pure theft.
That’s why Maryland and Virginia voters push the D button in elections…..they are all working (at home) and eating from the government slop trough.

Look it’s time for a HARD reset. You can’t just keep adding to the inflationary problem. It’s time to pay the piper. Nobody wants to pay $50 for aMcDonald's value meal. 500k for a 89k starter home. The inflation Avalanche has overtaken us. No easy way out.

This is a Carbon copy of the years after Carter put us in the ditch. A similar response is required
Yep…. Those who lived through those years recognize it all happening again. I’ve stopped eating out all together. I spent very little on Christmas and I’m not spending money on anything now that Christmas is over. Biden’s idiotic spending on Ukraine and illegal aliens have resulted in my belt-tightening.

One family uses pool to save houses in cali

Dad’s plan better than the entire gov of California. Generator, pool pump, fire hose. Done. Questions? Hire this guy to run the entire state. Fire the rest
Everyone of these homes should’ve been equipped with this simple setup. Could’ve done it easily for 2k or so. A very important feature to add on for a 3 million dollar and up home built in a fire hazard area. Especially since they all have pools already. Of course the government couldn’t burn em down then so they couldn’t allow that.

Wages have been going up and inflation's rate is reasonable today. But I agree with you that it's (recession) coming.
I think the difference in our views are real world vs stock market. You deal with the market pretty exclusively where I deal with mainly real estate. Im seeing what’s happening with families losing homes and farms monthly. Tax sales/foreclosures have exploded over the last couple of years. Black rock is a big part of the problem as well with the real estate markets but thats a whole other conversation.

If inflation was at 9% or so as it was 2 1/2 years ago and wages had not been going up, I might agree with you. But that's not the case right now.
When a 89k starter home in 2020 is now 350k its definitely time. Wages are nowhere close to supporting this. Not to mention the bs insurance, property tax and interest rate increases, add food prices to that and its over. The average family has been decimated. The dam is about to break. It’s coming ready or not.

I'd love for prices to go back down to what they were in 1977. But I'd prefer for my income to not.

Wages have outpaced inflation over the past couple of years. Should wages come down to? I agree with Trump in that it's hard to get prices down to those levels once they are up.

BTW, I am worried that we may end up with a depression. I THINK Trump is too.

That does nothing for the +40% we’re up over the last 4 years. Only way to erase and reset is a solid recession. We may even need a depression to correct this mess. No way housing and food prices are sustainable where we are today.

Recession needs to happen. Only way to undo inflation. Rebalance and make the dollar stronger. The dollar is headed the way of the peso if we keep going in this direction. Painful but necessary.
Yes, if inflation is out of control. But the latest report has inflation at an annual rate of 2.7%. That is reasonable.

I recall doing budgets for my organization in the early 1980s when we took the approach of expecting 5% inflation.

The Dollar was at 72 in 2008. It is at 109 today.

Who has said that inflation is only one-sided?

That's the point. Inflation makes your tax revenue look greater even if it's actually a decreasing share of revenue.

Poll: Texas vs Ohio State

I foreshadowed this in the UGA done thread. Like I said there, I have no confidence in Sark. Makes a lot of stupid calls.

Lmao

I don't trust him, I wonder if he can get them all on the same page.

Sounds just like "he's a moron, I knew he would cost them eventually".

But, you'd never get credit for anything if you didn't take credit for things you never said.

So again, i give you credit for excellent hindsight. That is rare in fans.
