South Carolina picked up a duo of commitments from Finland with Guard Morris Ugusuk and Forward Okku Federiko They will be members of the 2024 signing class.

My money would be Hopkins as the next former-Gamecock to make his MLB debut.

Quarterback Braden Davis has entered the portal. Davis was a highly sought offer QB in the 2022 class, but it was pretty clear by spring performances that Davis was well behind redshirt freshman Tanner Bailey and true freshman LaNorris Sellers on the depth chart. We mentioned before the spring started there would likely be a transfer from this group of quarterbacks.

Dante Reno’s high school teammate Elijah Newby received an offer from Coach White today. The outside linebacker would be projected to play either the “WILL” or 3rd backer in the “Nickel” role.

Redshirt freshman DT Demetrius Watson has entered the portal. He is originally from Charleston, SC and was a part of the 4 man defensive tackle class in 2022. We’ve stated before that D’Andre Martin has shown the most potential out of the 2022 DT group. Coupled with the performances of newcomers Elijah Davis and Xzavier McLeod in the spring game and this transfer comes as no surprise.

Commodores Foward Myles Stute portal transfer commits to South Carolina. Stute started in 59 games for Vanderbilt. Arkansas and Mississippi were also pursuing Stute.
